  • Diagnose root causes of performance challenges (not just skill gaps) and recommend solutions that may include learning, feedback, process changes, or tools.

  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Recruiting, Talent Management, SMEs, and national practice leaders to align development efforts and ensure consistent execution across the firm.

  • Define and track meaningful outcomes for learning initiatives—focusing on performance improvement, adoption, and behavior change, not just completion.

  • Develop high‑quality learning content using instructional design best practices, including digital learning, blended solutions, and facilitated experiences.

  • Partner with internal facilitators and subject matter experts to ensure instructional quality, consistency, and relevance.

  • Coach individuals and teams strengthen execution, judgment, and professional growth.

You are someone who:

  • Cares deeply about how tax professionals learn, develop judgment, and apply their skills

  • Enjoys working closely with practice leaders and operating in ambiguity

  • Thinks in terms of capability and performance, not just courses and content

  • Is comfortable leading with influence

  • Wants to be part of shaping the future of tax and building capabilities

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, tax enablement, practice operations, or higher education—ideally within a professional services or accounting firm.

  • Experience consulting with leaders and teams on performance, capability, or development challenges.

  • Strong facilitation, communication, technical writing and instructional design skills.

  • Comfort balancing multiple stakeholders and priorities in a matrixed environment.

  • A growth mindset and interest in how tax is evolving.

  • CPA or experience working closely with tax professionals in professional services is strongly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of NASBA CPE requirements and learning compliance standards.

  • Experience with digital learning tools (e.g., Storyline 360, Camtasia, MS Office, or similar platforms).

Additional details

  • Travel: approximately 10%

  • Hybrid learning design and delivery
