As the manager of the Technology and Process Solutions team within Global Philanthropic Engagement (GPE), you will lead and manage a team of professionals in an Agile/SAFe environment, responsible for assessing processes, gathering business requirements, recommending improvements, and partnering with IT and execution teams to design and drive implementation of technology solutions that meet business needs. As a people manager, you will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and performance management for a team of direct reports collaborating cross-functionally to manage and execute against the GPE technology roadmap.

Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

Product Development
Coaches subordinates to understand and utilize a collaborative customer-centric mindset, building trust by actively engaging GPE teams, listening and empathizing well to understand pain points and co-create solutions; ensures solutions are practical, actionable, and aligned with stakeholder goals.
Provides leadership to a professional team to manage the epic and project level backlog, working primarily with Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Distributed Marketing, and Marketing Cloud); oversees the team in evaluating project level definitions of work and breaking them down into feature and story level work that can be completed within a Program Increment, translating business requirements into actionable pieces of work with clear acceptance criteria to be accomplished by IT architects, engineers and testers.
Utilizing the IT architectural roadmap as a guide, manages activities to successfully implement product priorities including testing and coordination with training.
Process Improvement
Provides leadership, design, and implementation expertise regarding the process management discipline and coaches staff on process management methodology and practice.
Partners with department leaders to bring clarity to ambiguous or complex operational areas, facilitate alignment and consensus, and translate decisions into clear, actionable documentation that enables consistent execution across GPE.
Drives and oversees coordination of cross-functional GPE initiatives and programs, collaborating with teams such as Field Experience, Supporter Care, USA Marketing, and Legal to align planning, coordinate partnership, assess impacts, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Supports the marketing coordination and operations of GPE teams; oversees implementation of single and multi-touchpoint GPE journeys that enable individual donor and partner goals.
Team Leadership & Oversight
Provides leadership and development to direct reports and fosters a psychologically safe team culture.
Consults with peer management and senior leaders to successfully align departmental resources and priorities across Compassion.
Selects, manages and develops assigned staff, establishing goals and objectives, coaching and managing performance, including discipline, motivation, and annual reviews; supports continuous learning and development that enhances individual performance and organizational capability.
May manage professionals in multiple disciplines, including product management, testing, digital lifecycle, and business support.
Other Responsibilities
Contributes to or prepares and administers the annual budget and departmental expenses, ensuring accountability for on-time completion of deliverables based on department objectives, SLAs, and other Compassion standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and board policies.
What Do You Bring?
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Product Development, Project Management, or related field
7–10+ years of experience in process improvement, project management, consulting, product development, advancement/fundraising operations, or related field
3–5+ years managing multi‑disciplinary teams
Proven ability to set strategy, establish KPIs, and coach high‑performing technologists
Demonstrated success prioritizing complex portfolios of work, balancing quick wins within longer-term initiatives
Skilled at stakeholder management, change leadership, and driving adoption of new processes and technology
Proven track record of building relationships with key partners and stakeholders; able to build strong alliances, effectively influence and negotiate.
Outcome‑oriented communicator with the ability to turn complex challenges into clear and compelling narratives for decision making or other action
Data‑driven & pragmatic leader with the ability to anticipate needs and balance rigor with speed, knowing when “good enough” unlocks impact.
Experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferred but not required
Certifications a plus but not required: Lean/Six Sigma, Salesforce, PMP or Agile/Scrum
Candidates with significant Salesforce experience will be prioritized.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Tableau, Miro, Smartsheet, Workfront, Rally (or similar equivalents) is preferred.
