Simulmedia is looking for an experienced television media buyer with deep, hands-on knowledge of the U.S. Linear TV and Connected TV marketplace.

Our mission is to make  television more data-driven, seamless and easier to buy while creating value for both advertisers and our media partners.  We build products at the intersection of technology, data and media that help advertisers get more from television, and make it easier for buyers and sellers to transact.

This is a hands-on external facing media role. You will help strengthen existing relationships, develop new media partnerships and work with sellers to negotiate inventory, pricing and commercial terms.

The role also works very closely with our Business Development, Product and Operations teams. Your knowledge of how television is actually bought and sold will help us improve our products and workflows and build technology that works for television advertisers, buyers and media sellers.

We are looking for someone with significant experience buying U.S. television, particularly Linear TV, who is comfortable moving between hands-on media negotiations, partner relationships and internal product and operational discussions.

What You'll Do

    • Buy and negotiate U.S. TV media, including Linear TV and Direct Response TV, Connected TV.

    • Negotiate directly with national TV networks and other media sellers on rates, inventory, terms and broader media agreements.

    • Build and deepen relationships across the U.S. television ecosystem and help establish relationships with new media partners.

    • Support the SVP of Business Development in developing media partnerships and commercial opportunities.

    • Serve as an internal expert on the U.S. TV marketplace, including pricing, inventory, dayparts, clearance, stewardship and makegoods.

    • Work closely with Simumedia’s Operations team to improve how media is purchased, managed and executed.

    • Partner with Product to translate real-world TV buying and selling practices into new product requirements.

    • Help Product and Operations teams understand the needs of buyers and sellers and identify opportunities to make TV transactions simpler and more efficient.

    • Bring a strong understanding of CTV and how it fits alongside Linear TV within the broader video marketplace.

    • Work closely with the Finance and Legal team to align on commercial terms and support media agreements.

What We're Looking For

    • 6+ years of experience in U.S. television media, with significant hands-on media buying experience.

    • Deep knowledge of Linear TV, including experience negotiating scatter and Direct Response TV.

    • Detailed understanding of how U.S. television inventory is priced, negotiated, purchased and managed.

    • Strong knowledge of TV media math, inventory, clearance, stewardship and makegoods.

    • Experience working directly with major U.S. TV networks and media sellers.

    • Familiarity with CTV and the broader video advertising ecosystem.

    • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to bring practical marketplace knowledge into Product and Operations discussions.

    • Someone who enjoys being hands-on and is comfortable moving between media investment negotiations, partner meetings and internal product discussion.

    • Must be able to work from Simulmedia's New York City office five days a week.
