About Polymarket
Polymarket is the world’s leading prediction markets platform — where people trade on the world’s most important questions. From elections to crypto to sports and pop culture, we’re building the global source of truth for real-time public opinion. We help people grasp the future by letting them trade on real-world events — and our edge comes from airtight market rules, trusted resolutions, and being first to what matters.

The Role
We’re hiring a Market Analyst to shape, curate, and safeguard the backbone of Polymarket’s markets. You’ll decide what to launch and when, craft precise and innovative rulesets, and ensure our markets are always clear, fair, and dispute-proof. You’ll work across research, market ops, and product to keep our coverage timely, relevant, and high-quality — from spotting the next big thing online to drafting bulletproof rules that keep traders confident.

What You’ll Do

  • Own coverage: Ensure we’re covering the right topics at the right time across politics, crypto, sports, current events, and culture.

  • Invent rulesets: Draft precise, innovative criteria for new market types and edge-case scenarios.

  • Prioritize new markets: Decide what to launch and when to maximize relevance and engagement.

  • Curate & clarify: Continuously tighten wording on live markets and publish clarifications.

  • Audit resolutions: Review resolved markets for consistency, source integrity, and adherence to rule spirit.

  • Build pipelines: Turn raw events into recurring, scalable market categories.

  • Monitor the internet: Track trends, bubbling stories, and key events to ensure Polymarket stays first to what matters.

  • Build playbooks: Systematize best practices for rule drafting and dispute handling.

  • Monitor industry standards: Track regulatory guidance and peer platforms to keep Polymarket ahead of compliance risk.

  • Experiment: Pilot new formats and market types to push the frontier.

What We’re Looking For

  • Sharp legal/analytical mind: You spot loopholes before they’re problems and love airtight wording.

  • Strong editorial taste: You know what matters and what’s noise.

  • Exceptional technical writing: Clear, neutral, and unambiguous prose—no wiggle room.

  • Market intuition: Understanding of how incentives, liquidity, and trader behavior interact with rules.

  • High agency: You proactively hunt for issues and ship fixes fast.

  • Data & process rigor: Comfortable mining data, building checklists, and scaling audits with light automation.

  • Fast decision-making: You thrive in a fast-moving environment.

  • Forecasting fluency: Bonus if you’re familiar with crypto, sports, or political markets.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in prediction markets, sports-book operations, compliance, or exchange rulebooks.

  • Background in law, risk, journalism, or dispute resolution.

  • Product instinct: You think in systems and user flows, not just content.

  • Ability to script or automate QA tools (SQL, Python, etc.).

  • Networked in key verticals (sports, politics, crypto, etc.).

  • Personal trading or market-making history on Polymarket or similar platforms.

  • Prior startup or high-agency team experience.

Why This Is Cool

  • Own the truth layer: Your work decides how the world’s biggest prediction markets resolve.

  • Green-field impact: Set the gold standard for market integrity and topical coverage in a frontier industry.

  • Shape the core product of the most culturally relevant prediction market in the world.

  • Fast lane: Ship, learn, and iterate at the pace of a generational startup poised for massive growth.

How to Apply
Send us:

  • Three markets you’d launch today (include rules and reasoning for why).

  • A recent trend we should have covered but didn’t.

  • Any relevant writing samples, legal analysis, or tooling you’ve built.

  • Any links (Twitter, Substack, GitHub, Notion, etc.) that showcase your thinking or work.
