We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Research Specialist to support CoreWeave’s global Site Selection and Data Center Capacity organization. This role is responsible for researching, analyzing, and synthesizing market intelligence across power availability, land supply, utilities, regulatory environments, and competitive dynamics to inform site selection and expansion strategy.
About the role:As a Market Research Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping CoreWeave’s global expansion strategy by providing actionable insights into emerging and constrained markets. You will support metro strategy development and early-stage site evaluation by leveraging tools such as DataCenterHawk, GIS platforms, real estate databases, and utility data sources.
You will work cross-functionally with Site Selection, Capacity Planning, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management teams to ensure that all site decisions are grounded in high-quality, data-driven market intelligence.
In this role, you will:- Conduct research on global and regional data center markets, including power availability, land supply, zoning, permitting, and infrastructure readiness
- Utilize tools such as DataCenterHawk, CoStar, GIS platforms, and utility datasets to gather and validate market data
- Support metro strategy development through supply/demand analysis and market comparisons
- Identify emerging markets and capacity constraints across key regions
- Research land opportunities, including ownership, zoning, and proximity to infrastructure (power, fiber, transportation)
- Monitor competitor activity and data center development trends
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership
- Maintain centralized research databases and ensure data accuracy
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support site screening and deal evaluation
- 3+ years of experience in market research, real estate analysis, infrastructure, or data center-related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Geography, Engineering, or a related field of study
- Proficiency with market intelligence and research tools such as DataCenterHawk, GIS platforms, or CoStar
- Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple research requests in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
Preferred:
- Prior experience in data center, utilities, or commercial real estate sectors
- Knowledge of power infrastructure, permitting, or zoning processes

The base salary range for this role is $108,000 to $143,000. The starting salary will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).

Our Workplace
While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration.
