Why this role exists

LemonEdge is the system of intelligence for private markets. We have closed a $21m Series A led by Blackstone Innovation Investments, North America is our largest market, and we do not yet have a marketer on the ground there.

Building relationships in a meaningful way is critical to our success. You will know which room a CFO will turn up to, run the channels that put our people in front of them before they arrive, and make sure every conversation afterwards becomes a relationship we keep building.

This is a hands-on role. You do the work, you own the outcome, and you have a direct line to the Head of Marketing and our C-Suite.

You will be based with the LemonEdge team in midtown in Manhattan no fewer than two days per week.  You will also be able to travel domestic and globally for events.

What you will own

The room. You own our North American events agenda end to end: the dinners and programs we host ourselves, the conferences we show up at, and the client moments in between. Calendar, venue, vendors, budget, staffing, on-site delivery and supporting the sales team with follow-up.

Our guests are C-suite and founding partners at some of the largest private equity firms and fund administrators in the world. They are ultra-high-net-worth, short of time, and turn down most of the invitations they receive. They notice the room, the seating plan and the wine list. Earning their yes is the job.

That takes someone with their finger on the pulse. You know which restaurant opened last month and which private dining room is worth the minimum spend. You know the difference between a members’ club that impresses a managing partner and one that reads as trying too hard.

Digital. You have a natural ability for social. You will be able to run our LinkedIn presence day to day: editorial calendar, publishing, engagement and the performance numbers behind it. You will work across the business to raise both personal and the business profiles. You will help us build on X and short-form video. You know what a good hook looks like, you can cut a clip from an event on your phone before the car arrives, and you watch what lands and do more of it. You decide what goes out and when, inside an agreed brand and content framework.

The two halves of this role feed each other. The dinner becomes the post, and the post fills the next dinner.

AI.
You already run your day on it and you have opinions about it. We mean more than having tried ChatGPT. You have workflows, you know where models save you hours and where their output still needs your judgment, and you bring new tools to the team before anyone asks. You might not have all of the answers, but you have the mindset to go find them.

Client touchpoints. Our physical touchpoints with clients and prospects across North America: what we send, to whom, when, and what it returns in meetings and pipeline.

What you will support

  • Marketing strategy. You will be in the room with the Head of Marketing and Chief Growth Officer as we shape it, and we expect you to bring ideas rather than wait for a brief
  • Competitive and market monitoring across private markets technology

Who you are

You have 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally in B2B technology, financial services, or an agency serving either. Time spent around a UHNW or C-suite audience, in private banking, wealth, luxury, private members’ clubs or high-end hospitality, is a strong advantage. You may not have worked in private markets, and that is fine. We will teach you the asset class.

You are the one friends text when they need a restaurant. You know what is opening, what is overrated and who to call. You volunteer before you are asked, you are comfortable being the only marketer in your time zone, and you make real progress without a manager in the next room. You write clearly and quickly, and you are unbothered by a 200-person conference and a client dinner in the same 24 hours.

You will need existing authorization to work in the United States, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Tools

LinkedIn, X, Pipedrive, Canva or Figma, CapCut or similar, an email platform, and whatever AI tooling you already run your day on.

What this becomes

This role is designed to grow into ownership of North American marketing. If you are the right person, the title in 18 months is Marketing Manager, North America, with budget and program ownership.

Compensation

Base salary $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience, plus performance bonus. Health, dental and vision coverage. 401(k) with employer contribution. Paid time off. Travel across North America, and to London for onboarding and twice a year after that.

How to apply

We would love to see your resume and, instead of a cover letter, two short pieces of writing. First, in no more than 500 words, one thing you would do differently at LemonEdge, looking at us with fresh eyes. Second, in no more than 100, where you would host 12 private equity CFOs in New York next month, and why that room.
