Job Summary:
The OnPoint Marketing Operations team is hiring a Marketing Automation Journey Manager, who will bridge strategic planning and technical execution to implement personalized digital marketing at scale. This person will be considered a deep subject matter expert in the development and delivery of marketing automation, while also understanding the importance of an integrated web experience and form strategy. A current Marketing Cloud Consultant and Marketing Cloud Developer Certification from Salesforce is necessary for this role. This is an individual contributor position who will collaborate closely with business partners, dealer representatives, platform owners, and external vendors.
What You Will Do:
  • Own the creation, maintenance, and optimization of customer journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Standardize templates and workflows to reduce dealer burden and accelerate onboarding.
  • Operationalize solutions designed for scalability, supporting Caterpillar's global footprint and diverse market needs.
  • Drive consistency among dealer marketing automation journeys.
  • Ensure compliance with opt-in rules and exclusion lists for targeted campaigns.
  • Oversee campaign scheduling, dealer notifications, and performance reporting.
  • Maintain documentation and playbooks for operational processes.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and across related teams.

What You Will Have:
  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
  • Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).

Considerations for Top Candidates:
  • Current Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer and Consultant certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent working experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe content management systems, and digital marketing data architecture, as it applies to the heavy machinery industry
  • Direct experience scaling digital products for enterprise, dealer network, or global use
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance, compliance, and governance practices within a digital marketing context
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to drive change and build consensus

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
