Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Location: Midtown, New York City — On-Site, Full-Time
Company Website: https://altbanq.com/

About altbanq:
Founded in 2014 as SOS Capital and rebranded as altbanq, our firm specializes in providing fast, flexible financing to small businesses across the United States.

Our Vision: Building a financial ecosystem designed for business success.

Our mission is to refine, enhance, and unify financial products, delivering better solutions for businesses to grow.

Why This Job Matters:

At altbanq, marketing isn’t about noise; it’s about clarity, creativity, and connection. Our Marketing & Communications Coordinator will be the driving force behind how the world sees, hears, and understands our brand. From digital storytelling to graphic design, from campaign execution to social media engagement, you’ll help shape how we communicate with brokers, clients, investors, and the world.

This role is perfect for someone who combines sharp design instincts, strong writing skills, and an eagerness to grow within a fast-moving financial services firm.

A Day in the Life:
  • Create and publish compelling marketing content — from social media posts to blog articles, press releases, and email campaigns — that reflect altbanq’s voice and vision.

  • Design polished, professional marketing assets and sales collateral for both digital and print.

  • Manage and update the company website to ensure brand consistency, user-friendly experience, and SEO optimization.

  • Execute digital marketing campaigns across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance using data-driven insights to refine future strategies.

  • Support internal communications by crafting clear and engaging messaging for teams and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with leadership and external partners to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all channels.

  • Stay up to date with financial industry trends and competitors, always bringing fresh ideas to the table.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • 2+ years of hands-on marketing experience, ideally in financial services or a fast-paced, professional environment.

  • Strong graphic design skills and proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).

  • Exceptional copywriting and editing abilities with sharp attention to detail.

  • A digital-native mindset — you’re comfortable working with websites, SEO, social media, and CRM systems.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality.

  • A curious and proactive attitude — you don’t wait for direction, you offer solutions.

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • An interest in financial markets or alternative finance is a plus (but we’ll teach you the industry specifics).

Why Join altbanq:
  • Be part of a growing company with a modern and entrepreneurial culture.

  • Work directly with experienced executives and a team who value clear communication and creative input.

  • Competitive compensation: $80,000 – $110,000 depending on experience.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.

  • Unlimited PTO policy.

  • 401(k) retirement plan.

  • Professional growth opportunities.
How We Hire:
  1. Resume Review
Please submit your resume, fill out the questionnaire, and, if available, submit samples of past marketing collateral or portfolio work.

  2. First Round — Zoom Interview
We’ll focus on your communication style, experience, and marketing mindset.

  3. Creative Challenge
Selected candidates will be asked to submit a short marketing project, a chance to show us your design flair and writing style in action.

  4. Final Round — On-Site Interview
A deeper conversation with the team at our Midtown NYC office.
