About the role

Whop is where the internet does business. Businesses of all domains and sizes use Whop for payments, banking (treasury & card spend), and ads — from Fortune 500 companies including Samsung and Netflix, leading entertainment brands like F1, the NFL, and Justin Bieber, some of the hottest up-and-coming startups like Polymarket, ElevenLabs, and Kalshi, to tens of thousands of solopreneurs like TJR, Iman Gadzhi, and Airrack. People from all over the world use Whop to participate in the new internet economy.

Whop is a platform for Gen-Z and internet based businesses. We have product market fit for the following categories:

  • Creators / Coaching
  • Services
  • Physical products 
  • Marketplaces / Platforms

We want to onboard every business in the world that has products in these business lines. We need a marketing lead who can tell the world what's happening at Whop. We currently have no one leading marketing, which is exciting given the growth of our business, but is very bad given how much faster we could be growing. 

This role will oversee product marketing, performance, SEO, and creator stories. You will pick what we market and what channel(s) we distribute on. You must be able to create systems that can take inputs from across the org (sales, product, customer support, data) and create compelling campaigns that speak to Gen-Z entrepreneurs, founders of venture backed businesses, and developers. 

This role will report to the Head of Growth.

Responsibilities
  • Pick what we market and what channel we distribute on
  • Oversee product marketing, SEO, performance, and creator stories
  • Build systems that lead to cracked execution across marketing org
  • Partner with the brand team
  • Hire / manage team
  • Own marketing calendar with all upcoming campaigns
What we're looking for
  • Proven track record of creating campaigns that lead to strong organic adoption + enablement for sales teams
  • Has been promoted 1-2x at a scaling fintech or infrastructure company — we want someone still rising, not someone who's done it three times and wants to do it again
  • Can drop into any of the functions you own and drive strategy forward, not just manage — no one on the team should be working harder than this person
  • Knows how to speak to multiple segments (Gen-Z, venture backed founders, developers)
  • Curious af and AI forward
  • History of making clear, data-backed calls on where to invest across campaigns
  • You feel the quality of the work you put out is a representation of who you are as a human being and the standards you uphold
Compensation, benefits, and perks
