The infrastructure managing $300 trillion in assets was built in the 90s. Now, all of it is up for grabs. The winner of the AI era of investment management will be a $100B+ company. We intend to be that company.
To get there, we're assembling the most talent-dense startup in New York. We hire people who are 1) exceptional, 2) allergic to anything that's not exceptional, and 3) recruiters of other exceptional people. We also have no tolerance for brilliant jerks.
We run lean by design. We work with a select group of the largest financial institutions in the world, go incredibly deep with each, and sit in the flow of trillions of dollars. We hire fewer people, ask each to own the outcome, and pay on impact - not tenure or experience.
Moment is not for everyone. The standards are unreasonably high. The pace is intense. And there is no playbook.
In return: the best work of your career, building a generational company.
Moment is the AI operating system for investment management, built for the world's largest wealth firms and fintechs. Moment works with firms managing more than $10 trillion in client assets and is backed by Index, a16z, and Lightspeed. Moment was founded by former quants from Citadel and Jane Street and is based in NYC.
About the Role
We're hiring a Marketing Leader to set the strategy for how Moment shows up for the institutions moving trillions of dollars and to be able to design, ship, and own the work that gets us there.
This isn't a pure execution role. You'll own how we position the product, how we sound, how we look, and how we reach the market. You'll think through which segments actually matter, what story lands, and what the right channels and surfaces are.
You'll work directly with the Founders and management team, with the autonomy of an early marketing hire and the scope to set the function's playbook.
Strategy. Own positioning across our customer segments: From sectors such as: broker-dealers, RIAs, global banks, fintechs to owning the messaging frameworks which bring things to life. Develop the persona research and competitive read which inform every campaign.
Design & Brand. Own how Moment looks and sounds. Sharpen the visual identity across the site, decks, social, and product surfaces. Work with our amazing design teams and bring a high bar and craft for everything we publish externally.
Content & Demand. Translate hard technical capabilities into narratives that resonate with traders, advisors, compliance officers, and any other ICP’s we’re collaborating with. Ship the campaigns, customer case studies, launch material, and exec content that drive qualified pipeline over time.
Field & Events. Set the strategy for our presence at industry events (Fixed Income Leadership Summit, Tiburon, FIA, SIFMA to name some) and drive our own client dinners, salon roundtables, and product launches across NYC and any other key client cities.
You’re a good fit if you're
A strategist who also ships. You've built positioning and brand frameworks at a B2B company, and you've also written the copy, briefed the designer, and shipped the campaign.
Strong on taste. You know what good content, design, and storytelling look like, and you have a high bar for everything that goes out under the company's name.
Capable in a market with technical buyers. You don't need to know fixed income, but you need to be willing to learn it deeply and represent it accurately.
Operating with founder-level ownership. You drive your function, propose budget, set the strategy, and ship.
4–8 years in marketing with exposure to product marketing or startup GTM work.
Background in financial services, capital markets, or B2B fintech infrastructure.
A portfolio of work you've personally shipped — positioning, copy, brand systems, campaigns — not just managed.
