We are hiring a Marketing Manager, Content Promotion to own how iPullRank shows up across social media, industry media, partnerships, and events. This is a net-new function for us — we're looking for someone who has personally built a PR or media relations program from the ground up before, with no existing playbook or agency partner to lean on.

This is an internal marketing role focused entirely on iPullRank. Your job is to make our expertise easier to understand, easier to share, and more relevant to the people we want to reach.

You will work closely with the director of marketing, company leadership, subject matter experts, writers, designers, partners, the sales team, and our scrappy marketing team. On any given week, you might turn a technical AI search concept into a social campaign, brief a designer, pitch a journalist, coordinate a webinar, manage live event coverage, or build the HubSpot campaign that tracks the work.

You will coordinate with freelance paid media support to plan, launch, monitor, and improve paid social campaigns. You will develop campaign concepts, recommend budgets, prepare creative briefs, and assess performance across paid ads, sponsored newsletter placements, event marketing opportunities, and other relevant media partnerships. As the program grows, you may help expand these efforts into paid search and PPC.

We need someone who can develop the strategy, manage execution, and improve the program based on performance. Strong judgment matters. Each channel needs a clear purpose, every campaign needs a reason to exist, and the work needs to sound like it came from a person with a point of view.

RequirementsWhat You’ll OwnSocial Media and Audience Growth
  • Develop channel strategies for LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Instagram, and TikTok based on each platform’s audience and business purpose.
  • Build editorial themes, campaign concepts, creative briefs, publishing plans, and testing programs.
  • Manage the publishing calendar and coordinate work across writers, designers, video producers, and subject-matter experts.
  • Write and edit social content when direct execution is needed.
  • Manage comments and conversations, escalating sensitive situations through the appropriate internal channels.
  • Use audience behavior and campaign results to improve future content.
Thought Leadership and Communications
  • Interview internal experts and translate technical ideas into clear, substantive narratives.
  • Support executive and subject-matter-expert visibility through social content, media commentary, presentations, contributed articles, and event promotion.
  • Develop press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, announcements, and partner messaging.
  • Build relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, newsletter writers, creators, and industry organizations.
  • Maintain message consistency across social media, earned media, events, partnerships, and agency announcements.
  • Protect the substance and point of view behind the original idea.
Integrated Campaigns, Events, and Partnerships
  • Lead marketing campaigns for research, webinars, conferences, owned events, agency announcements, and lead-generation programs.
  • Build campaign plans covering launch, promotion, registration, live coverage, follow-up, and content repurposing.
  • Identify co-marketing partners that fit iPullRank’s audience and positioning.
  • Coordinate messaging, timelines, creative assets, speakers, email support, social coverage, and partner deliverables.
  • Set up campaigns and maintain documentation in HubSpot.
  • Build repeatable processes that help the marketing team execute consistently.
Paid Promotion and Performance
  • Develop paid promotion plans supporting campaigns, events, research, thought leadership, and lead-generation goals.
  • Recommend budgets, audience strategies, channel allocations, testing plans, and expected outcomes.
  • Manage freelance paid-social support and external agency partners through clear briefs, budgets, deadlines, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Oversee paid social across LinkedIn and Meta.
  • Evaluate newsletter sponsorships, industry publications, podcasts, event promotions, and related media opportunities.
  • Coordinate ad creative, copy, landing pages, tracking, approvals, and campaign launches.
  • Track spend, reach, qualified traffic, conversions, cost efficiency, and pipeline influence.
  • Make clear recommendations about where iPullRank should increase, reduce, revise, or end investment.
AI-Assisted Work
  • Use tools such as Claude for research, ideation, analysis, drafting, and repurposing.
  • Decide where AI saves time and where direct human work will produce a better result.
  • Review, challenge, and rewrite AI-assisted output before it reaches an audience.
  • Build practical workflows that improve output without making the work sound automated.
What Success Looks LikeDuring your first year, you will be expected to:
  • Establish clear roles and publishing systems for iPullRank’s primary social channels.
  • Build a consistent flow of campaigns from idea through reporting.
  • Increase qualified engagement with iPullRank’s research, experts, events, and services.
  • Create a repeatable system for executive thought leadership and media participation.
  • Improve coordination across internal contributors, freelancers, partners, and agencies.
  • Produce reporting that connects channel activity to audience growth, conversions, and pipeline.
  • Use performance data to make stronger editorial and investment decisions.
Core Experience and Skills
  • Direct experience being the first PR or communications hire somewhere, or personally standing up a PR/media relations program from scratch — building the strategy, process, and media relationships without an existing playbook, in-house precedent, or agency partner to rely on.
  • Five or more years of experience across B2B social media, communications, integrated campaigns, digital PR, or related marketing roles.
  • Experience working in SEO, SaaS, martech, professional services, or another technical B2B environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, supported by work samples that make technical material clear and compelling.
  • Experience managing brand channels such as LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Instagram, or TikTok.
  • Experience developing campaigns across social, email, events, partnerships, earned media, and paid promotion.
  • Experience coordinating writers, designers, executives, subject-matter experts, freelancers, and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of paid social strategy, audience development, creative testing, and performance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot campaign management and marketing reporting.
  • Strong project-management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to use AI tools for research, ideation, analysis, drafting, and repurposing, paired with strong editorial judgment.
Leadership Qualities
  • Strategic judgment: You can explain what each channel or campaign is meant to accomplish.
  • Ownership: You surface risks, make decisions, and carry work through completion.
  • Stakeholder management: You can gather strong ideas from busy experts and keep contributors aligned.
  • Problem solving: You can make progress when the brief, data, or path forward is incomplete.
  • Communication: You adapt the depth and format of information to the audience.
  • Self-awareness: You accept feedback, identify gaps in your work, and adjust.
  • Accountability: You track commitments, deadlines, budgets, and results.
How You Work
  • You develop a point of view and support it with evidence.
  • You ask direct questions when technical material is unclear.
  • You can move between planning and hands-on execution.
  • You build relationships before requesting support or coverage.
  • You distinguish useful performance signals from surface-level metrics.
  • You use AI where it improves the process and apply human judgment before anything reaches an audience.
  • You care about both speed and the quality of the finished work.
Bonus Experience
  • Existing relationships with search, marketing, technology, or business media.
  • Experience marketing conferences, webinars, or professional events.
  • Experience working with a founder or visible industry expert.
  • Familiarity with SEO, AI Search, GEO, LLMs, or content strategy.
  • Experience overseeing agencies or specialist freelancers.
  • Experience with paid search or PPC.
Why This Role Matters

iPullRank has deep expertise and a growing body of work across SEO, AI Search, Relevance Engineering, and content strategy, but PR has never been a function here, and there's no existing infrastructure to build from.

This role will turn that expertise into a consistent public presence, stronger industry relationships, and measurable business opportunities, starting with building the PR function itself. The person in this position will help the right audiences understand what iPullRank does, why the work matters, and where the agency can help.

Benefits
  • Competitive salaries commensurate with experience
  • 100% Medical, Dental and Vision insurance
  • 3 weeks of vacation
  • Paid sick days and holidays
