NetCost Market is seeking a Trade Marketing Specialist to lead the development and execution of in-store marketing campaigns, category activations, and vendor marketing programs across our store network.

This role focuses on driving traffic, increasing basket size, and supporting category growth through effective retail marketing initiatives. The Trade Marketing Specialist works closely with category managers, store teams, and vendors to develop promotional mechanics, manage campaigns, and ensure strong in-store execution.

The role combines campaign planning, retail marketing strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Planning & Development

• Develop and manage in-store marketing campaigns, category promotions, and seasonal activations
 • Define promotional mechanics such as discounts, bundles, recruitment offers, and loyalty initiatives
 • Build and maintain the trade marketing calendar aligned with commercial priorities

Category Marketing & Retail Activation

• Lead the development of category-focused marketing initiatives (e.g., seasonal festivals, product launches, thematic campaigns)
 • Ensure strong in-store presence through effective POS materials, signage, and visual communication
 • Support tastings, product demonstrations, and community-driven events

Vendor Marketing & Partnerships

• Manage vendor marketing programs and promotional collaborations
 • Coordinate vendor advertising opportunities within the store network
 • Work with vendors to support category growth initiatives and marketing campaigns

Store Collaboration

• Partner with store managers to ensure strong campaign execution and merchandising alignment
 • Identify opportunities to increase store traffic, shopper engagement, and basket size
 • Provide stores with marketing guidance and best practices

Performance Tracking & Optimization

• Monitor campaign performance and evaluate promotional effectiveness
 • Analyze campaign results and provide recommendations for improvement
 • Track vendor participation and marketing ROI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
 • 3–5 years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or CPG marketing
 • Experience managing in-store marketing campaigns and retail promotions
 • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
 • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
 • Experience with campaign reporting and marketing analytics
 • Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe tools, etc.) is a plus

Preferred Experience

• Experience in grocery retail, food retail, or CPG companies
 • Experience working with vendor marketing programs and promotional funding
 • Understanding of shopper marketing and retail promotional mechanics
