The candidate will bring to life components of Healthfirst’s marketing and communications strategy by providing executional support to the Product Communications team for ongoing communications and engagement initiatives for all audiences, the creation of sales collateral and onboarding materials, Enterprise projects, and ad-hoc initiatives. The candidate will also lead and/or assist with the review and consolidation of feedback from stakeholders, as well as monitoring results and data on each initiative. Working in a team environment, this candidate will either lead or be engaged in projects that require cross-functional collaboration within a matrixed organization. A Marketing Strategy Specialist at Healthfirst helps solve for a variety of challenges of moderate scope and complexity, while supporting the overall team with administrative/clerical duties as assigned. The individual at this level will embody Healthfirst’s Trailblazer culture through performance and workplace behavior.

Job Description

  • Monitors policies/processes and achieves marketing strategy deliverables
  • Leads or assists with the creation of sales collateral and member engagement materials, such as sales tools, welcome kits, newsletters, member portal, fitness rewards program, birthday emails, member mailings, etc.
  • Leads or assists with the development of digital and traditional outreach, communication, and engagement activities
  • Participate in,  assist with, and/or manage ad hoc projects such as member focus groups, annual Go-To-Market planning, and sales training
  • Identify areas of member experience improvement by reviewing member materials across all product lines.
  • Conduct competitor marketing analysis and provide suggestions for new opportunities
  • Work in collaboration with other teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of deliverable

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing while demonstrating good grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
  • Travel to off-site meetings and partnership events primarily in NYC (5 boroughs) and occasionally including Long Island and lower Westchester
  • Spreadsheet software (Excel preferred) skills to open and read reports, efficiently manage information, search/find, sort/filter, format, insert columns/rows/field, create additional worksheets/tabs and filter
  • Adept at using the Internet to conduct queries and perform research
  • Creating presentations and importing data to create tables and graphs from other applications using PowerPoint preferred

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Marketing experience in one or more of the following:  partnership programs, campaigns, and brand engagement/activation
  • Healthcare industry experience for example:  insurance, pharmaceutical, hospital, medical supply, managed long-term care, nursing home, government or other healthcare agency
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
  • Capable of articulating conclusions and defending opinions in a persuasive manner when warranted with well-developed data-driven analysis that establishes trust
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently and accurately while working with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work in teams and build good working relationships
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter, results orientation and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with minimal management oversight
  • Strong analytical or research skills including the ability to create pivot tables in a spreadsheet.

Hiring Range*:

  • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $77,900 - $112,540

  • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $68,900 - $102,510

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

In addition to your salary, Healthfirst offers employees a full range of benefits such as, medical, dental and vision coverage, incentive and recognition programs, life insurance, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Healthfirst believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package wherever its employees work and live.

*The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in “good faith” would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
