Company Overview

Do you want to help entrepreneurs raise millions of dollars to scale what could be the next unicorn? Then join us at Capital Department, a start-up fundraising firm that helps founders raise capital from angel, retail and institutional investors.

Capital Department is on a mission to increase access to capital for all. We’ve helped innovative startups raise more than $110M and we are growing at record speed! To support our growth, we’re seeking an exceptional candidate to join as an Associate Director.

As an Associate Director, you will work in close partnership with startup CEOs to effectively raise an investment round, from start to close. This includes managing internal and external stakeholders and overseeing the operations, strategy, and marketing of the raise. You’ll also have a chance to build the systems and strategy required to scale Capital Department globally.

As a major bonus, you’ll be part of an inclusive, fun, and engaging team. We have a track record of working with YC-backed technology companies and leading companies such as Universal Music Group, BNY Mellon, and Estée Lauder. We’re graduates of Cornell, Georgetown, Oxford, Yale, and UCLA, and our work has been featured in Forbes, The New York Times, PBS, The Financial Times, and Fast Company.

We’re experiencing explosive growth - come be part of our journey! 🚀

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the strategy, operations, and marketing for startups raising capital, in partnership with CEOs, their teams, and the Capital Department team.
  • Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable to deliverables and timelines, including fundraising goals.
  • Create fundraising assets, including investor decks, market research reports, investor updates and communications, and prospective investor pipelines.
  • Monitor performance and actively engage with clients to coordinate effective raises, scaling what works, and problem solving in the face of challenges.
  • Manage strategic partnerships with relevant agencies and/or investor networks.
  • Develop internal systems, strategies, and tools to optimize fundraising outcomes, and scale the company.

What are we looking for?:
