Away is a global lifestyle brand with a mission to transform travel through products and content that inspire people to get away more. To reach more individuals and spread our mission, we are seeking an Associate Manager to join our Digital Acquisition Marketing team. 

In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of our paid search and SEO initiatives.   This role reports to our Director, Digital Marketing & SEO and sits on the Acquisition Marketing team out of our headquarters in Soho, New York City. [The role is currently remote, and will remain fully remote through at least September, 2021.]

The Acquisition team is an iterative, performance-driven squad of marketers. We manage Away’s paid media budget, utilizing thoughtful experimentation and rigorous optimization to grow our customer base quickly, efficiently, and sustainably.

What you’ll do:

Paid Search 

  • Partner with external agency to execute flawlessly against channel performance goals including budget management, campaign development, testing, targeting expansion, copy updates, and general keyword optimization 

    • Monitor performance daily to capitalize on shifting search behavior and assess opportunities within existing account

    • Build rigorous testing plan for copy, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies to drive channel innovation

  • Own product feed health and identify opportunities for enhancements to drive incremental PLA performance

  • Explore additional measurement opportunities including channel incrementality, cross channel reporting, and online to offline reporting  

  • Leverage Google account team to fullest capacity, ensuring Away is taking advantage of all support available

SEO

  • Identify new SEO growth opportunities by analyzing existing content architecture, keyword constructs, audits and data/traffic analysis

  • Provide copy recommendations for products, campaigns, and all elements of the website to enhance ranking

  • Build seasonality product-focused content strategy across ecommerce and marketing to drive incremental traffic

Who you are:

  • You have a minimum of 4+ years demonstrated success in managing ROI-focused SEM and PLA campaigns 

  • Deep organic search knowledge across website technology, search measurement tools (e.g. Brightedge, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.) and organic content disciplines required

  • You have fluency with data and numbers. You’re experienced in Excel (or similar programs) and are comfortable performing data analysis and visualization. You may have exposure to other data tools, such as Google Analytics, Looker, and Tableau, or are willing to learn

  • You are curious and constantly learning new skills or things that interest you. You don’t settle for the status quo and have a bias towards finding a better, more efficient way of doing things.

  • You’re a team player who likes collaboration, but you’re not afraid to run with a project or idea on your own

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable working cross-functionally with various teams and personalities in a fast-paced environment

  • You love to travel (but that’s a given), and are passionate about the transformation of more accessible travel

  • Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
