About the role:

OpenWeb is seeking an entrepreneurial, professional communications leader to direct and manage our communications strategy, develop company narratives, and raise the public profile of our company and executive team. Through media relations and strategic communications, successful candidates will be comfortable in dynamic, high-pressure environments, working with global teams and spokespeople. Candidates must have an extensive track record of leading communications and getting coverage in fast-growth technology companies. 

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading OpenWeb’s communications strategy, public relations, messaging programs, resources, and budget
• Evolving the company story, understanding the landscape and executing a strategy that increases awareness and valuation
• Bring and build relationships with media and delivering regular top-tier coverage
• Writing press releases, managing distribution and, delivering regular top-tier media coverage
• Working closely with executive team to create and evolve company messaging and narratives
• Securing and managing speaking opportunities and panel appearances for executives
• Providing speaker/media training to executive team, developing talking points and preparing them for interviews
• Managing existing domestic and international contractors and agencies to optimize results
• Overseeing crisis communications, external partners and agencies
• Closely collaborating with marketing director, product marketing, and social leads to coordinate messaging and news for cross-channel execution
• Creating and managing KPIs to measure success

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

• Exceptional communications skills and the ability to find and communicate technology narratives
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in communications or public relations for fast-growth technology companies
• Experience expanding brands into new markets, preferably in Europe and Asia
• Experience working with late-stage and post-IPO companies
• Strong propensity toward action
• Positive attitude, dynamic under-pressure, and exceptional team-player
• Organized, diligent, and strives for excellence
