Senior Associate, Community and Influencer
Flamingo is looking for someone excited about building a brand and community from its early stages. This position will represent our brand and play a critical role in continuing to build relationships with our existing community, defining an ambassador program, and continuing to bring new people into our world.
About the team:
The Flamingo Brand Marketing team works together to bring the brand to life through owned and earned channels, including social media (@meetflamingo), community and influencer, partnerships and collaborations, press, and events. This role would report to the Director of Brand Marketing, working closely with social media and partnership leads. The team is creative and diligent, with a commitment to doing the things that are right for the brand and our goals.
About you:
- You have 2-5 years of experience in an influencer marketing, media relations, or strategic partnerships role
- You love connecting with people and bringing groups together. You get excited to share the things you love with people, and get energy from being around and meeting new people.
- You have a no-task-too-small attitude, flexing into managing lists, invites, and packing up gifts while also leading creative briefs and content guidelines
- You’re a self-starter and ask what you can do rather than wait until given direction. We’re a small team who all wear a lot of hats, so there’s always something to do.
- You’re organized and efficient, and can navigate tight timelines and juggle multiple projects with ease.
- You’re fluid in all social media platforms and follow updates and new features; you’re in DMs as much as you’re texting.
- You’re a strong writer and strong communicator
- You’re thoughtful and enjoy remembering the details that show you care (remembering someone is leaving for vacation next week, noting when someone mentions their birthday and sending a nice note)
- You’re excited to learn from the team around you and take on a new challenge
Responsibilities:
- Build mindshare: cultivate and continue to build a community around the brand by connecting with people who are the right partners to help us spread our message
- Meet new Flamingo friends: meet new people, bring new people into the fold, and research and discover who the next right partners may be for us
- Be our voice: represent our brand in the world through conversations and partnerships; manage incoming requests and conduct a steady flow of outreach
- Build and maintain a strategy: expand on our existing strategy to identify new opportunities and develop an ambassador program
- Create a seamless operational flow: build into our relationship with operations and our warehouse to place orders, fulfill gifts and product requests, maintain our in-house inventory, and make sure it’s easy for the marketing team to find the product they need.
- Track and measure: help the team understand what’s working by tracking and sharing the performance of initiatives with the team
