Email Marketing Manager, Conversion & Growth

We are hiring an Email Marketing Manager to develop email and CRM programs that nurture leads and convert them to paid subscribers. Joining a Customer Engagement team that partners with both product and marketing, you will be responsible for the critical first stage of the Freshly customer journey. If you have a knack for driving strategy through data, the creative sensibilities to turn that into engaging campaigns, and the ability for work cross-functionality, then this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Drive subscriber base growth through email campaigns and CRM programs that convert leads to paid subscribers
- Find new approaches to lead nurture and conversion, using channels including email, remarketing and app notifications
- Take ownership of all acquisition-focused email marketing metrics – opens, clicks, and most notably conversions
- Develop and optimize offer strategy to maximize conversion and LTV
- Manage a calendar of continued experiments and testing to improve conversion and company-wide learning
- Leverage the full customer database to grow subscriber base through refer-a-friend, winback and other programs, in partnership with product teams
- Track KPIs, maintain reporting, and communicate results to Freshly’s leadership team
- Partner with marketing and content teams to maintain consistent and holistic customer experience while increasing conversion from all campaigns
About You
- 3 – 5 years of Email Marketing experience in a direct-to-consumer environment, with at least two years focused on base growth; experience with subscription services a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required; Business Analytics or Marketing degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with data to drive campaigns and inform strategy
- Proven experience with campaign development, from briefs through working with creative teams to launch
- Experience building communications programs through CRM or marketing automation systems a must (Simon Data, Marketo, Eloqua, Sailthru, HubSpot or similar platform)
- Extremely comfortable working in Excel to manipulate data and build reports
- Experience coding in languages like SQL is beneficial – the desire to learn is a must
- Experience with digital advertising is beneficial – the desire to learn is a must
- Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Ability to work between teams and functions with high autonomy and little guidance.
