The Role:

As a Marketing Coordinator for our Regional Marketing team, you will be a key player in bringing to life our demand generation programs across the US K-12 market. This role helps execute marketing tactics that help school and district leaders select the best instructional materials for their classrooms, spanning multi-channel tactics like: display, social, email, events, direct mail, and more. In addition to campaign execution, you’ll play an essential role in scaling and operationalizing our growing Regional Marketing team, by taking the lead to create and optimize  internal processes, managing projects, inter-team communications, and performance reporting. Reporting to the Director of Regional Marketing, you’ll join a team of dedicated demand marketers that focus on creating programs that meet education leaders where they are in their buying journey, with the messages aligned to their community’s unique needs.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

This role is the perfect opportunity to explore all facets of marketing at an education technology company. You will play a role in supporting planning, project management, reporting, creative, and execution. In this role, you will be helping to define the next phase of Newsela’s brand in the market, and will help us scale the regional manifestation of that strategy. Through it all, you’ll work alongside a team of 20+ other dedicated marketers with a range of skills and passions who are eager to learn and eager to teach. Your work will directly contribute to growing Newsela’s impact on the K-12 market, and helping make learning more accessible and engaging for all students.

Why We’ll Love You:

With 2+ years of experience in marketing, project management, and/or advertising, you’re great at managing a high volume of projects. You’re an effective communicator, organized, collaborative, and eager to get hands on with different kinds of marketing tactics. You have an instinct for identifying commonalities across business needs and have exciting ideas for scaling projects to have the most impact. You also love being creative, and are ready to roll up your sleeves to help us write attention-grabbing copy and design marketing assets, like ads, mailers, and more. You can help motivate internal and external stakeholders to work on-message, under budget, and on time. You also have experience with online tools used for project management (we use Monday.com), email and marketing automation (we use Marketo) and design (we use Canva). You can pull data reports from these systems to help us set benchmarks, analyze trends, and identify risks.
