Who you are:
You're a bright and self-motivated events marketing leader who can identify, coordinate, execute and track critical third-party and proprietary events globally. You have experience managing a team of talented event managers and are comfortable working across geographies and event formats. You bring a blend of tactical expertise, superior project management skills and a strategic perspective around events and the audiences who attend them.
You are passionate about Dataminr's mission and interested to learn the intricate inner workings of a high-growth tech startup, and excited for the opportunity to join our Growth Marketing team as a department leader and contribute to the strategic direction of our team.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Dataminr events and tradeshow coordination including internal communication, sponsorship research, negotiating contracts, managing vendors and event staff, material ordering, registration, rsvp tracking, packing materials, and shipping logistics
  • Leverage superior project management skills to ensure seamless execution before, during, and after critical third-party and proprietary events across ABE, Demand Gen and Talent Acquisition teams
  • Manage post-event activities including prospect follow-up, uploading leads, post-event surveys and measuring ROI of the events against our KPIs
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization including Finance, Procurement and Legal to ensure all contracts and invoices are set up appropriately and executed efficiently
  • Manage the planning and tracking of the global event budgets
  • Audit calendar of currently-planned global events against strategic criteria to determine audience fit; identify potential new event opportunities against strategic criteria and growth marketing plans to ensure Dataminr is present at the right conferences in the right locations
  • Support internal event communication by conducting prep and post show calls with the sales team, managing event planning documents, sales participation/process and keeping event calendars up to date.
  • Manage the ordering and inventory of all promotion items
  • Design, build, measure and optimize lead generation and nurture programs to drive both awareness and consistent engagement both before and following events


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a related role managing events for a B2B entity and/or event production agency experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills, especially around time-sensitive activities on a global basis
  • Exceptional time management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and juggle multiple and competing priorities
  • Experience working with Google productivity tools, including Docs, Spreadsheets, Gmail, and Calendar and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation Tools (Hubspot and Salesforce specific experience a plus)


California, New York and Colorado only: The salary range for this position is as indicated below. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience, among other factors.
Colorado: $130,000-$146,500 USD
New York/California: $145,000-$162,500 USD
