About the role
Checkout.com is hiring an Experiential Event Marketing Manager to run our Crypto events program. You will report to the Brand Marketing team and manage your team to support global Crypto efforts. You are deeply passionate about the fast-paced and fast-changing world of crypto and you totally geek out on the experience potential in this space.
You will be responsible for planning our experiential, owned, and sponsored events roadmap as it pertains to our Crypto offer and position, driving awareness through unique events, assessing new sponsored opportunities, and executing on those events. You will work very closely with the rest of the marketing team (press, editorial, content, demand generation, brand marketing, and design) to develop stand-out programs that set us apart in relevant ways. You will also be a strategic partner to the content and social media teams, as well as our core crypto team in selecting and designing events and driving pre, during and post event processes. As well as partnering with external contractors and event organizers to ensure that the entire event planning program and process is successful.
You have an early adopter attitude and a love for tapping deep into the hearts and minds of our audiences. You're curious about innovation and highly informed on the latest hypes and trends, while maintaining a commercial and grounded view of how to use these opportunities in ways that tie in with our brand. In this hands-on and high-impact role, you're a self-starter, passionate about data, and pursue new insights without being prompted. Taking initiative and being able to self-manage is the key to success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a robust crypto first event marketing program across key regions to support our marketing goals. You'll use global and local inputs from marketing, sales, customer success, and across the business to do so.
- Do budget and ROI analysis event planning to assess the strongest opportunities and boost brand awareness on a global scale
- Establish a strategic approach to driving awareness through sponsored and owned events, work closely with brand, design, social, digital to have a 360, cross-channel approach to events
- Collaborate closely with marketing, commercial, and product to understand our core value proposition and messaging to be conveyed at events to target our key audiences, and overtime
About you
- 7+ years Event Marketing experience, ideally in B2B Fintech
- Deep passion and knowledge of the crypto space
- A strategic planner, with the ability to juggle several projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Ability to develop new processes and optimize those that are existing for scalability
- Passion for developing people and a best in class events team
- Adaptable, positive attitude with a contagious enthusiastic spirit
