Job Description ROLE : J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Inclusive Investing Events Marketing Associate

Position overview
We are seeking an a responsible, enthusiastic and ambitious events Associate to join the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management inclusive investing marketing team to help us become the firm of choice and serve more underrepresented segments such as Female, Black and LatinX clients.
The position provides a unique opportunity to partner closely with JPMC teams across the firm as well as departments within the business . The role will report into the Inclusive Investing Senior Events Manager and be part of the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management marketing organization
This individual will assist on event planning needs across all Inclusive Investing events & sponsorships with the opportunity to also manage small activations independently.
The Associate must be willing to travel and provide onsite event management and support .
Responsibilities

  • Deeply committed to and passionate about Diversity and Inclusion. Personally understands the needs of these segments and helps the events team bring relevancy and authenticity to life in related event marketing and programs.
  • Lead overall event planning logistics - acts as event coordinator & manages multiple venue relationships, at the same time¸ including but not limited to:
    • Booking & contracting venues
    • Managing AV orders & needs
    • Room design & set-up needs
    • Menu development
    • Host pre-conference calls
    • Manage budget


  • Own & Manage Event Registration Processes
    • Build and design registration websites with the Global Event Management team (or future platforms as needed)
    • Maintain sites & update as needed with speaker bios, agendas, etc. - must stay on top of the event program
    • Consider client experience of emails to communicate all necessary details
    • Include digital marketing opportunities by including tagged links for appropriate resources
    • Report on daily attendance numbers to ensure accurate headcount


  • Team Operations
    • Budget: maintain document budgets; works with Accounts Payable to process invoices and track expenses
    • Sourcing/Contracting - works with Senior Events Manager to submit and work through speaker/vendor contracts
    • TPO Vendor Management - works with Senior Events Manager to onboard & manage relationships with new/existing vendors
    • Document team processes as they become solidified
    • Develop and maintain a detailed events calendar for the business, in close collaboration with Chase Private Client & Private Bank events team


  • Ad-Hoc
    • Assists on additional event work streams as assigned by Senior Events Manager i.e. managing a subset of speakers or creative development
    • Independently manage smaller event activations as they may come up


Qualifications:

  • Basic event planning experience & execution, ideally at a financial firm
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with an eye for detail & creativity
  • Enjoys working with others & can build strong relationships with various partner teams
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure the needs of the group are met.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Discretion around private client information a must
  • Able to think and react quickly during event execution
  • Able to work fluidly when overseeing events
  • Willingness to work in fast-paced environment and beyond traditional business hours when necessary.
  • Ability to travel (could be 60%)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Experience in media, marketing or the Wealth Management industry are all pluses
