Manager, Marketing Print & Event Production

Primary Purpose: The Marketing Print & Event Production role is responsible for providing specialized knowledge and expertise needed to produce select 2D printed marketing materials. This individual will leverage production experience to support the Creative team to make design decisions that are thoughtful, viable, and strategic, guiding the process from concept to execution to best bring Kate Spade events to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of pre-press for print advertisments including release to pubs
- Produce the occasional duratrans and lightboxes for store or partner locations
- Printing of select 2D elements, including letter press pieces, invitations, and corporate printed collateral
- Manage print production of any direct mail pieces, postcards, box inserts or bounceback cards
- Pre-press, printing, finishing and shipping for any company booklets, including brand books, look books, and financial reports
- Partner with the Director of Packaging to create and maintain the brands printed color standards
- Collaborate with creative team, Tapestry Partners and outside vendors to develop and approve any printed packaging
- Oversee production of any event materials, including invitations, branded collateral, like napkins, show notes
- Draw on vendor resources to propose unique solutions to creative challenges, for both print and events.
- Provide clear, effective and timely communication to all internal and external partners.
- For select North America initiatives, serve as lead production contact – brief vendors on creative needs, manage communication, budget, logistics and execution of project from end to end
- Partner with Senior Director of Experiences to research and produce experiences and events for internal and external customers
- Sources material and props for events
- Supervise and maintain budgets and timelines for all assigned projects to consistently deliver on time and within budget
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production required
- Knowledge of pre-press, color and printing techniques
- Experience in event & experience production
Skills
- Excellent project management and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills a must
- Ability to balance design, operational needs and budget objectives resulting in exceptional creative output
- Detail oriented, with the ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects in different phases simultaneously with little direct supervision
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills, demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suite, Mac proficient
- Experience with Adobe suite and 3d rendering software a plus
