Your New Role...
The Warner Brothers Discovery DTC Research team aims to be trusted partners for our unique businesses through a lens that is unbiased and unfiltered. We objectively translate consumer voices to help make strategic business objectives and decisions.
The team is looking for a Manager, Research, to be a part of the DTC Research team. This insights professional will design and implement consumer research to address critical questions around brand, growth and market strategies for Warner Bros Discovery's streaming entertainment service. These studies will reveal the consumer perspective as a key input in business decisions.
The Manager will plan and implement market research quantitative and qualitative studies, with a focus on supporting marketing areas that focus on brand and growth strategies ,collaborating with the global team. They should be highly skilled across research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) and comfortable working on a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
They should be a strategic and critical thinker who is passionate about connecting the dots to inform brand and marketing initiatives. The ideal person is: thoughtful and polished in managing a variety of cross-functional stakeholder teams; dynamic and comfortable working with multiple simultaneous projects, a true collaborator with other researchers and potential fieldwork vendors; and a storyteller with data who can execute concise, visually engaging reports that clearly summarize the "so what" and "now what."
Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing stakeholders and leaders in the organization to understand needs and challenges and answer any questions they have on past or current consumer studies
  • Dynamically lead meetings including project working team updates and planning, interim topline reporting, and final presentations of research and recommendations
  • Oversee and often execute all stages of research including design, fieldwork, analysis, interpretation and charting of results for presentations (most often in Powerpoint reports), both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Synthesize and present findings across multiple research and data sources (1st party, 3rd party) to deliver insights to the business
  • Collaborate with research vendors for fieldwork while ensuring adherence to best practices, legal stipulations, keeping to timelines, and revising deliverables.
  • Develop research plans and strategies that translate business goals into research objectives and studies, in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead research studies, including sampling, guide and questionnaire development and execution.
  • Manage the research study process including timelines, analytic plans, development and deliverables.
  • Manage processes and relationships with internal marketing stakeholders and external research agencies, including feedback, planning and reporting
  • Analyze data and develop quick turn-around deliverables that are visual, concise and easily digestible.
  • Evaluate and summarize research results and present findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Look holistically across previous research to develop insightful and actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with other members of the Research team to ensure studies reflect needs across the team where possible.
  • Closely partner with Data Analytics to cross survey-based data with internal first party data sources and analyze that data.
  • Develop strong relationships and maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders and Research colleagues.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including contracts and documentation.
  • Assist in the management of the budget including ensuring timely processing of invoices.


Qualifications & Experience...

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Previous entertainment or streaming video experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of primary consumer market research experience. Marketing research experience preferred.
  • Prior experience developing and managing primary research, quantitative and qualitative.
  • Strong understanding of a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strategic thinking ability.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down data/information into meaningful findings and develop recommendations that lead to informed decision-making.
  • Ability to synthesize information and produce insightful and accurate analyses and recommendations.
  • Ability to use a data-driven approach to problem solving and scaling.
  • Be adept at data visualization to tell story of insights in a clear and digestible way.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail; strong project management skills are essential.
  • Ability to effectively influence, present and communicate cross-functionally with all levels; exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and strong interest to learn new data software tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing and growing environments.
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism and strong commitment to quality and accuracy

The Legal Bits...
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $93,898.00 - $174,381.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
