About the Role:


Transfix is on an exciting growth path, and building a best-in-class marketing team and marketing machine will be integral to hitting our ambitious goals. There are two critical customer groups that we support: carriers, and shippers. Shippers include any organization that wants to deliver goods, from critical (food, medicine) to frivolous and everything in between (literally, every single item in your home) to their customers and rely on Transfix to make that happen. In order to continue to cultivate, build, and expand our shipper voices and relationships, we are looking for a Marketing Manager, Content & Community. This person will play a key role in elevating our narrative through content creation, community building, partnership development, influencer engagement, events, and more across all relevant platforms and channels.

In This Role You Will:

  • Drive top of the funnel engagement for prospective shipper customers by establishing Transfix as a thought leader and a strategic partner via creative content & community building strategies, partnerships, and initiatives
  • Create an editorial calendar and content map, as well as the framework and processes for planning, writing, editing, producing, & distributing persona-based content across multiple channels that are most meaningful to shippers 
  • Develop and execute shipper-facing content and communication strategy across platforms including blog, social (LI and Twitter), podcast, email, website, and more
  • Build and develop relationships with internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders and research various topics and happenings within our sector (supply chain and freight logistics) to develop a compelling thought leadership platform
  • Develop outlines and draft and publish content in written, interview, video, and other creative, interactive formats
  • Work closely with Revenue Marketing to develop messaging, content, and white papers that support demand generation: develop & implement effective SEO & content strategies to drive, engage, & convert qualified traffic on our website
  • Lead our brand awareness / interest-driving content efforts (e.g. top of funnel) for shipper engagement, by collaborating with product marketers, counterpart agencies, designers, sales professionals, customers, and industry experts to scope and produce compelling, search-optimized content for our blog, website, landing pages, social media channels, online profiles, etc.
  • Maintain ongoing measurement of content KPIs

You're an Excellent Fit for This Role if You Have:

  • 3+ years in a content creation, editorial, or PR role within the transportation supply chain, freight, logistics or similar industry. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; you can write long and short-form content in a range of channels for a range of audiences without missing a beat
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with freelancers and vendors to create branded content that sings to the right audience
  • Impeccable organization and project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with many stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success with growing traffic and driving revenue through content marketing
  • Deep knowledge of social media best practices for optimal engagement, specifically across LinkedIn and Twitter platforms.
  • A high sense of urgency and organization while managing multiple projects
  • A passion for following editorial governance: you love to coach other writers and vendors to ensure content is consistent with brand voice, style, and tone
  • A strong stance on the Oxford comma and an eagerness to debate about it for hours on end

Location

Transfix's NYC HQ is steps from the Oculus and Fulton Center, with access to subway train lines. We are close to tons of restaurants, shops. We are on the top floor so have wonderful light and breathtaking views, including a spectacular view of One World Trade from our outdoor rooftop deck!
