About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for aligning our company around product market fit and is able to help the company clearly differentiate and scale in our desired market.

In this role you’ll be working with: The Product Owner, the Sales Team, the Growth Marketing Team, and internal and external customers to help drive product awareness, acquisition, activation/adoption, renewals, upsells, and referrals.

A key part of the role will also be an in-depth knowledge of our ICP and personas, and defining the right solution-based product messaging for every stage of the funnel that resonates with our target customers.

You’ll be the eyes and ears of the product and be the main feedback loop between the customers, sales, marketing, and the product team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the market subject matter expert for multi-channel marketing campaigns and partner with the growth team to measure market penetration.
  • Develop and translate insights based on product usage date, VoC information, campaign effectiveness, industry trends and market analysis.
  • Manage go-to-market strategies for all hardware and software releases including messaging, positioning, launch planning, sales enablement, and prospect and customer communications.
  • Liaison product knowledge to other internal stakeholders with a customer voice point of view.
  • Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their value proposition.
  • Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our product. This could include, but not limited to, keynote presentations, workshops, webinars, customer-centric videos and knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Assist in the development of product positioning, pricing models, key messaging, and value propositions based on your knowledge of the customer, competitors, and market landscape.
  • Conduct market analysis to obtain an understanding of the competitive landscape and help establish product differentiators.
  • Assist in translating the brand voice and visuals into product and sales related materials.
  • Utilize customer insights and data to help guide product prioritizations.
  • Manage product releases including audience, messaging, images, and timelines for the marketing team to effectively communicate the release.
  • Work with sales resources to educate and train the internal team to translate technical details into user benefits.
  • Continually evaluate market trends and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience
  • Experience establishing product marketing fit for a SaaS organization
  • Has built and executed go-to marketing programs for product launches and feature updates
  • Has a full understanding of pricing models, margins, and driving CAC/LTV
  • Must be comfortable taking ownership and representing the voice of the customer to different internal stakeholders
  • Can perform a full market analysis establishing market position, competitive position, TAM, ICP, and USPs
  • GPS/Telematics market knowledge a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
