WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

Public Relations lead is responsible for collaborating with the Senior Director, Brand & Community to increase awareness of the Appboy brand, its product, and Appboy thought leadership and corporate programs in the press (both trade and consumer) globally. Public Relations lead to play an integral role in thought leadership, social media strategy and execution, awards submissions and securing speaking engagements for the company. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about technology and who will grow Appboy from a B2B brand to B2B2C.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conceptualize and execute press/influencer/analyst strategy which reinforces the communications objectives around our company and product mission
  • Leverage relationships and story-telling ability to connect with and pitch influential media outlets, journalists, and analysts to place stories about company news, data reports, and other initiatives in multiple markets globally
  • Create compelling content to grow the company’s footprint (press releases, corporate announcements, and other creative content)
  • Collaborate with key players in the international tech community, including Appboy executives, external influencers, partners, and clients, to craft and pitch press releases and thought leadership pieces
  • Collaborate with Appboy Business Intelligence and Content teams to create original content that around industry events like CES, SXSW, and Dmexco and cultural moments to generate industry buzz across press and social media outlets
  • Create strategy for and help manage community and press events (including exec speaking opps and awards shows) in conjunction with Field Marketing Demand Generation, and Brand teams
  • Provide reporting and analysis on press and social impression levels for PR campaigns, plus highlights from influencers like quotes or important engagements with the Appboy brand
  • Update company one sheet, boilerplate and general presentations with up-to-date numbers and information
  • Develop and maintain a creative link building strategy with traditional, editorial publications and influencers in addition to social media, product review and tech community sites
  • Keep Appboy employees informed of press mentions, Appboy-related stories, competitor stories and important industry news

 

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years working in functions that include combinations of the following: corporate communications, talent/executive reputation management, social media strategy, press strategy, influencer marketing, content creation
  • Big thinker, who isn’t afraid to roll up his/her sleeves
  • Social media execution and listening experience required (knowledge of Hootsuite or like tools a plus)
  • Understanding, knowledge and interest in technology is a MUST
  • Knowledge and interest in International markets, a plus
  • Manage annual budgets for all initiatives and activities
  • Manage third party vendors
  • Strength in management and negotiation skills
  • International and Domestic travel, when required
