You will craft the messaging and position for our suite of products including our Pilgrim SDK, Pinpoint, and Places products. You must have deep and insightful industry knowledge in the AdTech and Media space. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand that play on your ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits that buyers understand. In your role as a Product Marketing Director, you will be the expert in buyers, understanding their buying criteria and why they purchase., You will transfer that knowledge to the sales and larger marketing organization at Foursquare.Responsibilities:

  • Messaging & Positioning: It is critical that Foursquare differentiates itself from the competition with original, culturally-attuned, crisp, and memorable positioning across all channels. You will identify and articulate the messaging of each of the company’s Products and be responsible for the creation of brand books in collaboration with the Foursquare Creative team.
  • Process: Create and collaborate on building a new process and workflow from the ground up with stakeholders across our Sales, BD, Client Success, and Creative departments. You will regularly consult with these leaders to determine prioritization of releases, marketing messaging, and the production of new sales enablement tools based on short term and long term revenue potential.
  • Product Launches: Client Success is Foursquare’s #1 priority and the product team is constantly releasing new products to empower CMO’s, brands, and developers with the ability to create the exact experience they want. Product marketing at Foursquare is responsible for bringing these new products to market both internally through enablement, as well as externally through online channels in partnership with the Engagement team.
  • Sales Enablement: The Foursquare sales team is growing quickly and the product marketing team ensures that they are consistently trained on our product line, competitive positioning and key use cases. You’ll run sales enablement at Foursquare, clearly communicating the value proposition of our products to the sales team and our in-house design agency. You will also develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products and create product collateral for all audiences including demos, sales presentations & training, FAQs, one-sheets, and other product collateral as needed.
  • Success stories: Product marketing is responsible for sourcing customer stories and bringing to life the value of our products through real-world examples and value-based messaging.
  • Building the Team: The Foursquare product marketing team is new and growing. As the leader of this team, you will work to identify the ideal team structure, mentor and manage team members, and develop career paths and goals in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Partner for Product: Contribute to the ongoing creation of the Product Roadmap by understanding market trends, client demands, product adoption rates, revenue goals and more.
  • Market intelligence: Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; know your competition and how to out-compete them.
  • Internal program management: Ensure that all relevant teams across the organization are kept informed of Product activity by compiling and distributing comprehensive communications and documentation.

 Requirements:

  • 15+ years experience in strategic product marketing with strong leadership experience spearheading and building out a new function for product marketing 
  • 5+ years people management experience and experience building and scaling a team while mentoring a product marketing organization
  • Strong ability to create a process around go-to-market strategies for complex data products and define product marketing responsibilities outside of general marketing
  • Experience and expertise in the AdTech, Media, and Enterprise Product Marketing space
  • Have an established track record in spearheading successfully integrated product launches with measurable results
  • Have a proven track record of enabling large sales and support teams to win
  • Possess strong analytical skills and passion for analyzing products, competitors, and market dynamics
  • Be a proactive leader with discipline for setting priorities, driving decisions, and getting closure on recommendations and issues
  • Metrics-driven and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent and creative written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to Get Stuff Done (GSD)!
