We launched mid-2015 to overwhelming press and customer response (82 NPS score), and are on our way to building a break-through brand that can be part of millions of people’s lives. Our founders (both women!) were previously senior executives at Quidsi, the ecommerce company behind Diapers.com, which was acquired by Amazon for $545M.

As the Social Media Coordinator for Primary, you’ll be in the driver’s seat of our company on social media. You will be the eyes, ears, and mouthpiece of the Primary brand online, responsible for the growth of our audiences across social media channels, as well as cultivating authentic relationships with customers, influencers, and newcomers to our brand. As part of the Creative team you’ll be focused on organic growth, while also collaborating frequently with our Marketing team to align on campaigns and promotions through paid advertising.

What you'll do:

  • Quickly grow our social media audiences in an authentic, organic way
  • Post daily content across all social media channels (including weekend posting and PR media hits)
  • Manage our social community (speedy responses to comments and questions + active engagement with customer, influencer, and prospective influencer posts) 
  • Delve into our analytics to create an optimal posting schedule for maximum engagement
  • Collaborate with our Creative team to create content and assets that drive organic traffic
  • Stay current on trends, updates, and audience preferences, and make evidence-based suggestions for effectiveness 
  • Regularly pitch new ideas for campaigns, contests, promotions and storytelling opportunities 
  • Become an expert on our audience and the most compelling ways to reach them
  • Work closely with our team of influencers to keep them up-to-date on new styles and promotions

You are:

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and always changing startup environment, with strong ability to be nimble and adaptable
  • Able to effectively navigate ambiguous situations, with a positive, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
  • Driven and motivated to make things happen
  • Reliable with impeccable follow-through
  • Passionate about social media as a tool for growth

You have:

  • An internship in social media or public relations (ecommerce a plus)
  • A college degree or relevant experience
  • A finger on the pulse for updates and trends in social media
  • Strong people skills and the ability to communicate clearly in word (and emoji)
  • A sense of humor and a sense of brand voice
  • Creativity and familiarity with simple photo and video editing apps/software
  • Passion for Primary as a game-changing brand

This position is based out of Primary’s NYC Headquarters in midtown Manhattan, New York City and reports to the Creative Copy Director. (Remote applications will be accepted for this position.)
