VP, Brand Marketing

Summary

We're looking for a VP, Brand Marketing & Communications to lead the growth of our brand and business by leading PR, Influencers and Contact Marketing, Social Media, Partnerships, Experiential Marketing, and Brand Campaigns. You will drive the strategy, ideation, execution, and reporting of all brand marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives. This role will lead a currently 20 person team. The VP, Brand Marketing & Communications reports to the CEO and is based in our Noho, NYC headquarters. 

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Lead our large (and growing!) Brand Marketing & Communications department, which encompasses PR, Content Marketing, Social Media, Partnerships, Campaign Launches, and Experiential Marketing
  • Oversee the development of a short- and long-term brand activation calendar to build awareness, brand equity, and drive revenue
  • Mentor and guide a team of direct and indirect reports to ensure the entire team has the tools and skillsets needed to grow and succeed 
  • Ensure we're developing scalable processes for stakeholder alignment, project briefing, planning, budgeting, cross functional communication, execution, launching, reporting, and hindsight learning 
  • Have the highest standards for building Away brand equity, brand awareness, and driving revenue 

Who you are:

  • You have 15+ years of experience in a brand/communications function that spans media relations, influencers, content creation, social media, partnerships, experiential, and brand campaigns, as well as 5-10 years of experience leading and inspiring exceptional teams 
  • Your general management skills could be a case study—you deeply understand how to build and scale innovative, thriving, and productive teams, and love working with others to bring out the best in them and their work 
  • You are well connected in the media landscape and have a deep understanding of how earned media can help build a brand 
  • You deeply understand brand and creative, but also always think through the quantitive impact of all brand activities 
  • Your communication skills are unrivaled, and you know how to make people listen and understand
  • You’re extremely organized and adept at creating (and sticking to!) timelines and budgets
  • You love to travel (but that's a given)
