VP of Marketing
About The Role
Our VP of Marketing will define the new space we are creating and craft a strategy for making us a household name with finance and procurement leaders the world over. This includes end-to-end marketing initiatives in brand, product, content, and even performance marketing over time. You will also measure and communicate performance in a way that is digestible at the IC, executive, and board level. You will report directly to the CEO, and you will have lots of empowerment and autonomy to bring your vision to market.
What You’ll Work On
- Establish Tropic as a thought-leader in a new space
- Generate a marketing and branding strategy that aligns with and enhances Tropic’s strategic direction
- Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and consistently differentiate Tropic
- Ensure that the maximum number of ideal customers is aware of Tropic and buys into our message
- Drive Tropic’s marketing technology strategy
- Drive Tropic’s PR strategy
- Own the expansion of the Marketing team, including role definition and hiring
- Standardize Tropic marketing metrics and ensure easy reporting, both at the company level and at the board level
- Drive Tropic’s content strategy to ensure alignment with the Tropic sales funnel and impact at every stage
- Help get market visibility on Tropic’s leadership team
Who You Are
- 6+ years B2B marketing experience with demonstrable success
- 2+ years experience at high-growth, venture-backed startup
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
