Job Summary

Introba is seeking a Mechanical Project Designer for our growing Team in our St. Louis, MO location.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to the Senior Designers/Project Managers/Team Leaders

  • Maintain Design files, including AutoCAD/Revit

  • Set up heating and cooling load calculation file (i.e. Carrier HAP) - inputs to be checked by senior staff

  • HVAC layout and drafting with minimal supervision

  • Ensure design checklist and technology standards are being followed

  • Coordinate equipment selections from vendors using Introba selection procedures with assistance provided by senior staff

  • Coordinate mechanical requirements with other disciplines involved in the project design team (i.e. Architects, Structural Consultants, Electrical Consultants, etc.) under supervision of senior staff

  • Provide construction administration services as directed and supervised by senior staff

  • Attend site surveys with senior staff and independently

  • Technical System description writing for things like Basis of Design documents

  • Cover external coordination meetings independently as needed 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Desired

  • Government, Healthcare, Education and/or Data Center experience desired

  • Minimum 5 years Revit experience (this could be a combination of academic & professional experience), coupled with 2 years design experience in HVAC

  • Ability to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervision provided by senior staff

  • Ability to apply prescriptive requirements of Energy Code with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge of energy modeling and calculations is desired

  • EIT classification is desired
