About Call9: Call9 is breaking the mold of traditional Emergency Medicine and telemedicine while reinventing 911. Our patient-centered proprietary telemedicine platform connects off-site emergency physicians with on-site emergency medicine trained Clinical Care Specialists (CCS). Call9 provides a spectrum of emergency care services at the patient’s bedside in skilled nursing facilities.

Position Summary: The Medical Billing and Coding Coordinator will be responsible for the operational aspects of the revenue cycle at Call9. This person will be the point of contact for any discrepancies, insight, and data regarding Medical Billing and Payments. This person will assist the Payor Relations team by ensuring accuracy in coding and billing for our medical procedures. They will review and manage the claims and payments made by our health insurance payers. They will also run reports and dashboards to provide information for our team to make strategic and tactical decisions around the revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Billing and coding our Telehealth program
  • Actively engaged in the development of ongoing clinical utilization and expansion of Telehealth services
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures that ensures compliance and mitigates risk
  • Keeps abreast of annual updates and changes to CPT & ICD codes and is knowledgeable of applicable regulations and funding opportunities as well as standards to aid staff in achieving compliant documentation
  • Accurately bill invoices and payments
  • Generates and provides reports that provide data for our Payor Relations team
  • Point of contact for any discrepancies, insight, and data regarding Medical Billing and Payments
  • Including following up with payor on any identified payment issues
  • Research, correct, and resubmit or reprocess unpaid claims as necessary
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Analyzes and reviews payments for claims prior to release to payors for approval or denial
  • Assist with additional documentation, follow up with claims
  • Ability to work independently and motivated to develop opportunities
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and/or negotiate with others to achieve positive results; establish and maintain effective interpersonal relations
  • Must work well in a team environment and have excellent customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to strive in a fast-paced work environment

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of medical coding and billing experience required
  • Medical Billing Certification preferred
  • Experience with ICD-10 coding required
  • Preferred Experience working with third-party insurance companiesPreferred Emergency Department billing experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • CPC and/or CCS Required
