Medical Billing / Invoicing Specialist

Short Description
We are looking for a certified Medical Billing / Invoicing Specialist to streamline our revenue cycle management. In this role, you will submit claims, translate medical interventions into standardized codes, and resolve billing issues to secure timely reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit electronic claims to commercial and government insurers.
  • Review medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
  • Manage claim denials by researching rejections and filing timely appeals.
  • Generate clear invoices for patients and explain complex benefit balances.
  • Audit billing workflows regularly to maintain strict healthcare compliance.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration.
  • Active coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of insurance processes, Medicaid, Medicare, and HIPAA rules.
  • Hands-on experience using modern EHR/EMR and medical billing software
