Position Overview:

Masterworks is looking for a Sales Development Representative responsible for identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new investor leads to fuel the growth of our Investment Advisor team. We are seeking a driven, high-energy individual who can spark curiosity in prospective investors, articulate the value of art as an alternative asset class, and build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.

This role is designed for someone who is passionate about sales and thrives in a fast-paced start-up/fintech environment. We would love a candidate with an interest in art, but it's certainly not required. Our ideal candidate has 1-2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role and a hunger to grow within a high-performance sales organization.

Responsibilities:

  • ~400+ outbound calls/day to engage potential investors and introduce them to Masterworks
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads by assessing investor interest and readiness through discovery conversations
  • Articulate the Masterworks value proposition, explaining art as an alternative asset class in a compelling and accessible way
  • Schedule qualified appointments and hand off warm leads to the Investment Advisor team
  • Execute effective follow-ups with prospects who have shown interest but require further nurturing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity in CRM tools

Requirements or Skill Sets:

  • 1-2+ years of outbound sales or business development experience
  • 1+ years of experience in financial services preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and alternative investments
  • Genuine interest in selling alternative investment products
  • Proven ability to build rapport quickly and manage a high-volume pipeline
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and motivated by hitting targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work full time
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

Benefits at Masterworks:

  • Free admission to art museums and galleries
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage with FSA options
  • PTO and 401k

Compensation Range: $65,000-80,000
