THE ROLE: Merchandising Assistant

We’re looking for…

Rue Gilt Groupe is looking for a Merchandising Assistant to support our special merchandising team. The assistant will provide administrative support, specifically focused on the execution residual, flash, and select marketing campaigns.  The assistant will serve a point of contact for communication among key cross-functional teams and departments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain events by reviewing merchandise and product availability
  • Analyze available inventory to assist with event concepts and construction
  • Execute and refresh residual, flash, and marketing boutiques
  • Support cross-functional communication with appropriate teams
  • Support miscellaneous tasks as required to execute merchandising functions

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous retail background preferred; exposure to fashion and merchandising highly desirable; Passion for fashion a must.
  • Self-starter who is highly organized and detail-oriented and can handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with tools in an online environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills: Ability to express point of view and be an active participant in daily business conversations.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

On-site Boutique organization? It’s all right here. This team pieces together which events will run on Rue and Gilt. Creating the ideal targeted Boutiques requires an in-depth knowledge of sales history, brand requests, trends, financial projections, and more.

Expected Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $54,000

Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
