Belvedere Trading is a leading proprietary trading firm proudly headquartered in downtown Chicago. Our traders work hard to provide liquidity to the market through their market-making activities and are the masters of a diverse set of commodities, interest rates, exchange-traded funds (ETF), and equity index options. From the beginning, we began iteratively investing in our proprietary technology and committing to building our systems from the ground up. Our trading models and software systems are continually re-engineered, optimized, and maintained to stay on top of the industry. This wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated efforts of our technology teams who utilize and perfect our innovative technology solutions.

We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated Microsoft Systems Engineer to join our expanding IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will manage, support, and optimize a geographically distributed Windows server environment. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team of infrastructure professionals, contributing to a wide range of initiatives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor, collect, and analyze system performance metrics to ensure optimal operation.
  • Install and configure server hardware in datacenter environments.
  • Provide after‑hours support as part of an on‑call rotation.
  • Collaborate with development and support teams to troubleshoot issues and fulfill service requests.
  • Optimize and enhance existing infrastructure systems and contribute to new infrastructure initiatives.
  • Document and communicate system configurations, processes, and procedures.

What You'll Need

  • Strong experience with Active Directory, including Domain Services and Group Policy administration.
  • Exchange Server administration (on‑premises or hybrid).
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, and related protocols.
  • Experience managing and supporting IIS, VMware virtualization, and core Windows services.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 (updated from legacy versions).
  • Experience performing Windows OS and hardware patching.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience working with modern Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
