The successful Operations Analyst is a member of the Private Operations team within MetLife Investment Management (MIM), MetLife Inc.'s institutional investment management business. MIM provides investment services to predominantly institutional clients across several asset classes. The highly motivated professional is responsible for all operational aspects relating to onboarding and closing of Commercial and Agriculture loans for MIM.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for commercial and agricultural mortgages processing including Security Master Construction, loan boardings/closings, and reconciliations.
  • Review, research, and resolve cash and position breaks reporting by our back office and Client Custodians.
  • Coordinate Trade allocations with Front Office.
  • Prepare wires for settlement and communicate fed reference numbers as necessary.
  • Assist in the Cash Management administration and act as back up to team members.
  • Maintain written procedures for responsible functions.
  • Regularly report relevant metrics for measuring quality, effectiveness, and consistency for processes under purview.
  • Work with team members across the organization to understand, identify and address issues or opportunities that lead to effective support processes and improvements in quality of services.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team.
  • Strong understanding of investment operations support, Private Securities, data integrity, reporting and fixed income securities analytics.
  • 0-3 years' relevant experience in Commercial Mortgage Operations, Financial Services industry, Capital Markets.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Leadership skills are a must to support the business.

Preferred:
  • Business Administration or BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field experience.
  • Experience with Aladdin, Backshop, or other related platforms a plus

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
