MRP Component Analyst

General Job Duties

• Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate information that allows Nascote to receive Customer requirements through EDI.  Pulls in Customer data on daily basis and troubleshoots when issues prevent the data from being received.  For assigned components, monitors inventory levels, provides releases to Suppliers, tracks shipments, and coordinates expedites as needed.

Specific Job Duties

• Check, print, and clear EDI mailbox messages through EDI.
• Research any problem areas with EDI discovered in mailbox.
• Coordinate with Customer(s) / Supplier(s) and IS department when EDI is not received and/or untimely.
• Update EDI data into AIM Vision daily. Run MRP first day of week.
• Research any problems with Net Availability reports.
• Maintain, add and delete all destination master lists for all programs.
• Setup and maintain all new customer code information for ASNing.
• Maintain (SCAC) codes.
• Coordinate and maintain rack information on shipping blankets.
• Create and maintain release accounting blankets.
• Coordinate new part number creation through Engineers, customer and Nascote personnel.
• Identify new parts through Customer systems and communicate to appropriate parties.
• Monitor I drive to assure internal numbers have been established for new product.
• Create and maintain engineering level changes.  Delete obsolete numbers at appropriate time.
• Monitor ECNs.  Alert affected personnel within Production Control Department.
• Maintains accurate and up to date contact list with Suppliers.
• Provides weekly releases to Suppliers to support production.
• Tracks Supplier shipments against the provided releases.
• Communicates delivery and all other issues due to Supplier performance to Nascote's Supplier Quality department.
• Monitors inventory levels of assigned components; investigates and resolves any discrepancies.
• Works with Suppliers to expedite product as needed.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Participates in department meetings.
• Completes documentation of activities as required.
• Submits cost reduction and innovation ideas.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Travel may be required.

Skills/Experience Required

• Required - Two years production and inventory control experience.
• Required - One year continuous work experience.
• Preferred - Customer EDI basics.
• Must work well with others.
• Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Must have strong problem solving and math skills.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and have a high tolerance for stressful situations.
• Must be customer driven.

Educational Requirements

• Required - Associates Degree in related field.
• Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in related field, MRP and/or Production Control experience or training.
• In special circumstances, candidates who have not met the required education but have substantial manufacturing work experience that is applicable to the job may be considered.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to at least meet the physical demands as defined by the current production requirements and the job function evaluation.  See job function evaluation in the Occupational Nurse’s office for more details.
• Office environment.  May spend some time in manufacturing environment using normal PPE and safety precautions.
