About The Role & Team

We are excited to bring on a Mutual Fund Operations Associate to our NY Wall Street Operations. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting our mutual fund operations by ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of a wide range of critical processes. From handling corporate actions, reconciliations, and account transfers to managing cost basis adjustments, capital gains alignment, and redemption fee tracking, you will help maintain smooth and efficient daily operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys solving complex operational challenges.  


In This Role, You Will

  • Perform essential mutual fund operational tasks such as corporate actions processing, account reconciliation, fund liquidations and exchanges, as well as stock merger/dividend payouts. 
  • Handle capital gains 1099 tax alignment. 
  • Track aging shares to ensure correct redemption fees or other related fees. 
  • Review incoming ACATs to ensure accuracy upon arrival. Manually process outbound B52 requests. 
  • Assess client cost basis and adjust when necessary. 
  • Handle ad-hoc mutual fund escalations. 
  • Review and resolve trade discrepancies and disputes. 
  • Cross reference error account versus NAV for any breaks and resolve accordingly. 
  • Work closely with our custodian to manage the transfer request workflow and resolve any issues that may arise. 
  • Monitor the status of account transfers and proactively update stakeholders on their progress.  
  • Analyze existing operations procedures to identify areas for process optimization and enhance client satisfaction. 


The Skills You Bring

  • A strong understanding of the processes, procedures, systems, and markets for mutual funds. 
  • 2+ years of relevant experience 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or related discipline. 
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external parties.  
  • Strong problem solving, control, and project management skills 


What Makes You Stand Out

  • Series 7 and or 6 certifications (a plus) 
  • Omnibus operations experience (a plus) 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (a plus)
