Phoenix Tower International (PTI) is seeking a highly connected and commercially driven National Sales Director to accelerate leasing growth across our US wireless infrastructure portfolio.
This is a high-impact role for an industry growth driver who thrives on developing executive-level carrier relationships, identifying new opportunities, and structuring creative commercial solutions. Reporting to the Director, Sales & Real Estate, you will serve as a strategic commercial leader focused on originating and expanding opportunities with national wireless carriers, infrastructure partners, and emerging tenants.
The ideal candidate brings deep telecommunications industry expertise, established relationships with decision-makers at major US mobile network operators (MNOs), and a proven track record of closing complex portfolio-level leasing transactions.
What You'll Do
- Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with national wireless carriers and strategic customers.
- Develop and execute account strategies to drive leasing, collocation, amendment, and build-to-suit opportunities.
- Identify and originate new revenue opportunities across PTI's portfolio of wireless infrastructure assets.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations for multi-site, portfolio-level, and master leasing agreements.
- Leverage market intelligence, carrier deployment plans, and spectrum initiatives to proactively position PTI assets.
- Collaborate closely with Real Estate, Operations, Asset Management, Legal, and Finance teams to advance opportunities from origination through execution.
- Maintain a robust national pipeline and provide leadership with accurate forecasting and market insights.
- Represent PTI at customer meetings, industry events, and telecommunications conferences.
What We're Looking For
Industry Experience
- 15+ years of experience within wireless infrastructure, telecommunications, tower leasing, or related industries.
- Significant experience working with tower companies, wireless carriers, infrastructure providers, or related organizations.
- Established relationships with decision-makers at major US wireless carriers, ideally at the Director, Vice President, or senior leadership level.
- Deep understanding of carrier capital planning cycles, network deployment strategies, collocation activity, site development, and amendment programs.
- Demonstrated success structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements involving multiple sites or portfolio-level transactions.
- Experience developing opportunities with both traditional wireless carriers and non-traditional tenants, including enterprise, utility, government, public safety, and emerging connectivity providers.
Professional Background
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, Real Estate, or a related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven success driving revenue growth, business development, and strategic account management.
- Strong financial acumen and commercial negotiation skills.
- Executive presence with exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for identifying growth opportunities.
