The Opportunity

IGN is looking for a National Sales Manager to support our Consumer sales vertical in our East region, to support our team based in New York City! With this role, we are looking for an energetic seller - someone who is extremely motivated, a self-starter, and hungry to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact. As the National Sales Manager, you'll own your book of business end-to-end: from prospecting new advertisers to deepening relationships with existing ones. You'll drive revenue across the full sales cycle while partnering with the Account Executive and Sales Coordinator to ensure campaigns are set up for success, delivering on goals, and consistently over-performing for our advertisers.

This is a full time role based in New York City. This role generally follows a standard full time working schedule, but due to the nature of this position, you may be required to work outside of normal hours from time to time for client needs and events. Travel is required from time to time for attendance at industry events and team meetings. This role involves typical office and computer-based activities, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing and frequent use of hands, fingers, and vision for tasks such as operating a computer, mouse, and keyboard. Occasional travel is required, which could include lifting and carrying materials, and navigating airports, hotels, and other venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets based on your account list by strategically uncovering new brand partnerships.
  • Partner with current advertisers to expand alignment with their marketing objectives and drive incremental revenue.
  • Collaborate with an extremely high-functioning Account Executive and a Sales Coordinator to deliver best-in-class marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments including Ad Operations, Creative Services, Social, and Content.
  • Pull together comprehensive proposals and pitches utilizing IGN’s 360 media solutions (targeted media, custom content, influencer marketing, experiential).
  • Create and present sales collateral with strong positioning to showcase IGN media solutions as best-in-class.
  • Take a consultative approach with clients and agencies, representing IGN with a high level of integrity and deep industry knowledge.
  • Grow, build, and strengthen relationships with key contacts at both agency and client-direct levels.
  • Learn and sell complex cross-platform solutions including IGN Display (Desktop/Mobile), Video, Events, Branded Content, Social, Programmatic, and Data solutions.
  • Quickly master new systems and platforms to stay ahead of the evolving digital media landscape.
  • Track and proactively manage your revenue pipeline.
Job Qualifications
  • Experience acting as the primary sales representative for a designated territory.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical work experience.
  • Proven ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • A positive, solution-oriented, and proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • A collaborative team-player mindset paired with an outsized sense of fun.
  • Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and stay poised under tight deadlines.
  • A strong internal drive to win, coupled with a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple projects and complex account challenges simultaneously.
