PlayOn Sports is seeking a Negotiated Media Coordinator to support our paid customer acquisition strategy and help drive scalable growth for our streaming subscription business, the NFHS Network. This person will report to the Director of Performance Marketing and will help execute, optimize, and scale our negotiated media programs including direct buys, affiliates, and other non-programmatic channels.
We’re looking for someone who is creative, relationship-driven, deeply plugged into digital culture, and excited to build something new. You’ll collaborate with external partners, creators, and media vendors while supporting day-to-day operations across outreach, onboarding, tracking, content reviews, campaign execution, and performance analysis. An ideal candidate brings experience in affiliate or influencer marketing, or transferable account-management experience from media, agency, creator economy, or partnership-driven roles.
The outcomes you’ll deliver:
In this role, you can expect to
- Coordinate day-to-day execution of negotiated media campaigns including outreach, communication, setup, content review, deployment, tracking links, and reporting.
- Own our existing affiliate marketing program, including researching and onboarding new partners, managing existing ones, monitoring performance, and communicating program updates.
- Support the launch of our ambassador/influencer program by helping pilot initial formats, organize early operations and identify where/what content and partnerships can scale effectively.
- Coordinate new negotiated media buys, such as publisher partnerships, OOH buys, newsletters, sponsorships, and grassroots community deals.
- Pull performance data, track KPIs, and help prepare reporting summaries and insights for internal teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, product, data, MarTech, and legal teams to ensure smooth partner integrations and high-quality content delivery.
- Stay curious and proactive – Research industry trends, test new tools or platforms, and bring forward new ideas to reach and convert high school sports fans.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 2+ years of experience in performance marketing, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, media account management, or a similarly relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of the creator landscape, especially TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, plus emerging platforms and digital culture trends.
- Innate creativity and an eye for what makes content engaging, authentic, and high-performing.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with experience managing partners, clients, creators, or vendors in any capacity.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple conversations, timelines and deliverables simultaneously.
- A proactive, curious mindset, eager to test new things, bring ideas forward, and help shape fast-growing programs.
- Strong analytical ability with comfort interpreting performance data, understanding KPIs and summarizing insights.
- Experience in Impact.com, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or other advertising platforms
- Passion for high school sports!
How You Play
- Ownership over Participation - You take responsibility for achieving holistic outcomes, prioritize key objectives, and adapt quickly when situations require a different approach. You follow through even against the toughest challenges.
- Team over Stars - You are a bridge builder, establishing processes and relationships with teams outside your own. You work to rally around common goals, find win-win solutions, compromise when necessary, and help others succeed.
- Growth over Comfort - You are driven by a desire to grow and actively seek opportunities to expand your comfort zone, skills, and confidence. You embrace new challenges with curiosity, accepting discomfort and failure as opportunities to learn.
- Fairness over Popularity - You approach decisions with a scientist’s mindset, challenging your assumptions and remaining objective. You consider long-term impact rather than relying on short-term gains, proactively seek others’ perspectives, and manage emotions in decision-making.
