As a Network Engineer (SRE) at Huawei Cloud, you’ll be a critical force in ensuring the high availability, performance, and operational excellence of our global cloud networking infrastructure.

You’ll work closely with global customers, engineering teams, and DevOps partners to operate, troubleshoot, and automate complex cloud network environments. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, cloud-native systems and loves solving real-world network challenges.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of cloud networking at scale, drive automation initiatives, lead incident response, and mentor junior engineers—all while working in a globally distributed, innovation-driven culture.

Requirements
  • Design, deploy, and operate scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud network architectures across Huawei Cloud global regions.
  • Lead operational troubleshooting, RCA, and incident response for network-related outages, latency issues, and connectivity problems across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Implement and maintain automated provisioning, monitoring, and remediation of network services using Python, and shell scripting.
  • Deep-dive into network packet flows, TCP/IP stack behavior, DNS resolution, BGP routing, EIP management, VXLAN/VXLAN-GPE, and SD-WAN in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cloud developers and SRE teams to enable seamless integration of network services into cloud-native applications (e.g., Kubernetes networking, service meshes).
  • Support cloud migration projects, including network reconfiguration, IP planning, routing strategy, and traffic shifting using tools, and custom automation pipelines.
  • Develop and deliver technical enablement content for partners, developers, and customers on how to effectively use Huawei Cloud networking services (VPC, EIP, BGP, NAT, Cloud Router, etc.).
  • Proactively identify network bottlenecks, performance risks, and operational inefficiencies through observability tools, logging, and telemetry.

QualificationsMust-Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, SRE, cloud operations, or DevOps in large-scale environments.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, EIP, VXLAN, SD-WAN, and related networking protocols.
  • Extensive experience with Linux/Unix systems – including command-line tools, system monitoring, log analysis, and process debugging.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, SED, AWK, or Gawk.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud networking services on Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure, container networking (e.g., CNI, Calico, Flannel), and Kubernetes networking models.
  • Excellent English communication skills – both written and verbal – for technical documentation, customer support, and cross-team collaboration.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Certifications such as Huawei Certified ICT Professional – Cloud Networking, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Cisco CCNP Enterprise, or Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
  • Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and configuration management.
  • Experience in global cloud support, incident escalation, or technical customer success roles.
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a high-growth, innovation-driven cloud platform shaping the future of digital infrastructure.
  • Work with cutting-edge cloud networking technologies and real-world global-scale challenges.
  • Enjoy autonomy, ownership, and opportunities for career growth and technical leadership.
  • Collaborate with world-class engineers, developers, and global customers across time zones and cultures.
  • Be part of a culture that values curiosity, technical excellence, and proactive problem-solving.
