As a Shift Process Engineer/Technician with the Yield Technology group at Micron, you will focus on operation and minor maintenance of a diverse set of equipment across Real-Time Defect Analysis (RDA) or Metrology applications.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete certifications and learning events. This will contribute to developing and helping in the department while also learning about other aspects of Micron
  • Provide support for Fab 4 Process Development Engineering and Process Integration teams
  • Provide development for the equipment team working alongside in recipe creation
  • Provide SEM support for FAB 4 - PFA technicians support the FAB 4 incoming SEM requests from the fab. The level of support needed will depend on the SEM queue on any given day.
  • Provide PFA support for FAB 4 YE part types (DRAM, and EM)
  • Communicate with part type engineers regarding requests, priorities, and/or general communications regarding the queue, etc.
  • Communicate with Micron team members and supplier representatives at all levels regarding tool issues, requests, support items, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MS or BS , and 1 - 2 years of equivalent process engineering experience Required majors include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Good understanding of FAB process steps: wet etch, dry etch, PVD, ALD, CMP, etc.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide resolution
  • PC skills to include M.S. Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote) and a good understanding of Micron AI tools.
  • Available to work any shift and work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Experience in semiconductor Metrology or RDA is preferred but not required
  • A growth mindset and a passion for learning
