What You’ll Do:
- File Copyright Registrations with the U.S. Copyright Office.
- Update records in SMP’s database with PA registration number and date.
- Scan and upload Certificates of Registration into cloud-based document retention system.
- Shadow team members to learn about different roles in Copyright Administration.
- Assist team members with various tasks and projects.
Who You Are:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university.
- Passionate about the music and entertainment business and have a desire to build a career in the industry.
- An interest in Music Publishing Administration preferred.
- Able to adapt quickly to a changing environment with minimal disruption.
- Enthusiastic collaborator with good interpersonal skills and a professional and positive attitude.
- You are hungry to learn and grow. You are curious, ask questions and get excited about new projects.
- An organized person that pays close attention to the details.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint or the equivalent.
- 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
