The Role:
The Transportation and Logistics Coordinator ensures full compliance with Dangerous Goods Transportation requirements and maintains all related weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation and audits. They develop, manage, and optimize shipment routing using PFEP and freight payment data while coordinating inbound, outbound, and third-party shipments to support daily operational needs. This role requires ongoing monitoring of carrier performance, resolution of service or billing issues, and clear communication across shippers, carriers, and internal GSC teams. The coordinator also oversees export-compliance steps, Customs-related delays, and required documentation to support uninterrupted material flow. Additionally, they maintain delivery-exception and payment reports, investigate shipment discrepancies, and contribute to continuous improvement in transportation efficiency and compliance

What You'll Do:
- Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Guides one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain organization to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
- The position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers. Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.
- Understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production
- Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
- Summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership
- Handle complex capacity constraint issues to resolution with goal to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
- Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
- Tackle complex issues and implement new, innovative strategies
- Ensure Dangerous Goods Transportation (DGT) compliance; complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual audits and tasks; Update and communicate all DGT procedures, work instructions, Participate in DGT meetings
- Maintain Plan For Every Part (PFEP) and freight payment data and use it to develop and implement shipment routes [milk runs, etc.]. Issue routing and billing instructions to shippers. Work with production schedulers to change routes as needed.
- Coordinate and monitor inbound, outbound, and third party expedite and equipment shipments-maintain contact with carrier until shipment delivered, report loss, shortages, and damage to management and file claims with carrier.
- Ensure export compliance. For each export of indirect material, follow export compliance steps and maintain records.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Ability to work independently on driving team results, determines resources to complete team assignments.
- Must have 3+ years' experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Operations or relevant experience
- Ability to be shift flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain
- Possesses in-depth knowledge and working experience in Transportation and Logistics.
- Experience serving as a resource to team members on Transportation and Logistics, cross-functional collaboration, and company policies and processes.
Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: $80,700 - $109,400. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
