Operations & Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to: Senior Director of Retail Operations

Department: Operations

Location: NYC-Hybrid (this role is in office Monday-Thursday and remote on Fridays)

Salary: $70,000-$90,000 Annually

Job Status: Full-Time/Exempt


Job Description:

As the Operations & Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain process, from order  to delivery, while optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing costs. Your leadership and strategic vision will drive the success of our operations and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: 

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the operations and supply chain function in alignment with the company's objectives and goals.

Supply Chain Management: 

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution, to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products/services.

Inventory Control: 

  • Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.

Process Improvement: 

  • Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain and operations, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Cross-functional Collaboration: 

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, sales, and finance, to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure alignment of objectives.

Risk Management: 

  • Proactively identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize impact on operations.

Performance Measurement: 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance of the operations and supply chain function, analyze data, and provide regular reports to management for informed decision-making.

Expectations & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics processes, and inventory management techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
