About Carry

At Carry, we combine a deep understanding of tax strategies and retirement accounts with technology and automation to help our clients build wealth and unlock tax savings. Our first product was a “Solo” 401(k) for self-employed business owners and freelancers, which unlocks “big-company” level tax benefits for entrepreneurs, and we have continued on that momentum to build additional financial products and unlock tax efficient strategies across multiple asset types.

The Role

As a team we are client-focused, providing education on different tax strategies and products, building products and services to help clients execute on these strategies, and closing the loop with tax filing services and support.

For this role, we are looking for a generalist who is comfortable working directly with clients on day to day requests related to their financial goals and transactions, as well as zooming out to build automations and repeatable workflows. While fintech experience isn’t required, having a prior understanding of or enthusiasm to learn about financial and retirement products is a huge plus.

As a small but growing team, we believe in high agency and ownership, and you will have a high degree of latitude to develop and test new products and approaches to help our clients accomplish their goals.

Day to Day

  • Work in person out of our office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
  • Directly answer incoming customer support questions, researching answers and working with the client to get to a resolution.
  • Handle manual operations workflows and tasks, such as assisting clients with transfers and retirement plan loans.
  • Build new automations and workflows ranging from document pipelines to customer support bots.
  • Create and understand different metrics and reports to help guide the business and product development.
  • Develop a deep understanding of fintech and various financial, investing, and retirement related areas of knowledge.

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of experience
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently research and summarize results
  • Interest in business, tax, and finance topics

Software you’ll use:

  • Retool, Front, HubSpot, Excel, Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier
  • Experience with some subset of similar tools is preferred but not required

Compensation and Benefits

  • The salary range for this position in NYC is $70,000 - $85,000 per year
  • Stock options in the company
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, holidays, and sick days

Interview Process

  • Once we receive your application, you can expect an initial response within 3 days.
    • The interview process consists of the application above, a few brief written questions, a video/phone call, an in-person interview at our office in Brooklyn, and a background check + references.
    • If you have any questions, reach out to us at [email protected].
  • We are not working with external recruiters or agencies for this role.
