Voyant Photonics is redefining machine perception with compact, high-performance LiDAR devices that fit in the palm of your hand. Leveraging cutting-edge silicon photonic chips, our sensors deliver unparalleled accuracy in range, velocity, and reflectivity, at a fraction of the cost of traditional LiDAR systems. By transforming high-precision sensing into an accessible technology, we are enabling new applications in robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, and beyond.
At Voyant, we are not just building products, we are advancing an industry. Our breakthrough technology bridges the gap between research and real-world deployment, making high-performance LiDAR scalable and commercially viable.
The OpportunityVoyant Photonics is seeking an Intern to join our Manufacturing Operations Program Management team for 4 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role. The primary goal of this role is to drive cross-functional alignment and execution of hardware programs from Concept through Mass Production (MP) and End of Life (EOL).
This execution-focused internship is designed for a high-potential professional seeking hands-on ownership across the full product lifecycle, including development builds, production ramp, sustaining operations, and lifecycle transitions. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Contract Manufacturers to ensure schedule alignment, material readiness, and operational excellence.
This is an on-site role in New York City with strong visibility to leadership and meaningful ownership, from early development builds through sustaining production. You will participate in global meetings, support international suppliers and cross-functional teams across time zones, and may travel up to <10% domestically and internationally, primarily for supplier visits and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
You will be trained to manage program progress from development builds through production and EOL transitions, identify risks early, escalate appropriately, and develop clear mitigation and contingency plans. You will work with cross-functional teams to remain aligned on milestones and deliverables. You will also learn to present concise, data-driven program updates to leadership.
Who You Are: You are a new graduate, potentially with previous internships in manufacturing, operations, or hardware program management. You are excited to join an industry-changing, real-world Physical AI company in New York City and contribute to some of the most innovative hardware technology being built today. In this role, you will have the chance to learn from experienced leaders in Manufacturing Operations and gain exposure to full-scale mass production execution.
